It's really too bad. I think USC would've won regardless but the game would have at least been competitive were it not for Travis Wilson giving USC 14 free points.
Ugly. Travis was just horrible. But Utah was due for a letdown. I was hoping it wouldn't be a complete *** kicking, but oh well. Hopefully Utah uses this as motivation. They are still in the driver's seat in the south division, they just lost their cushion.
Travis has played bad before, but had the defense to bail him out. Tonight the defense looked gassed.
They could still make it to the PAC-12 championship but I think its unlikely they win out after this setback. Looking more and more like a UCLA vs Stanford.
How many beers does it take to forget a loss like this? This is new territory for me.
It wasn't just Wilson. Utah called a bad game offensively. They abandoned what had gotten them here from the get go and then there was no going back. Defensively the early pressure was a good call. They could have deflated USC if they would have stuck to their offensive schemes. Everybody was trying to strut their stuff and show off, that is not what I expected. Tonight is on KW, first and foremost.
Welcome back to reality.
After that game by Covey (and the entire season really) you're complaining about short receivers?I blame whittingham. He's had three years to recruit a replacement QB, or a receiver that is taller than 5-9.
3 OCs in 3 years, should have solved the Utes offensive wows.
I guess this officially ends the Whittingham to USC speculation.
Obviously it's not all on Wilson. But this is a game he could've stepped up and maybe rescued the team. He made a lot of bad decisions instead.
It's a team game. The loss is on the team. The QB gets hyper analyzed. That's just how it is.
A lot of coaches choke the play-calling when they are playing from behind.Sure, but It's weird to negate your best weapon(Booker) while simultaneously showing off your QB's greatest weakness. The coaching staff deserves a lot of the blame. They too get hyper analyzed. That's just how it is.

14 rushes for Booker is unacceptable and goes against everything we've done this point. so i agree this loss isn't solely on wilson

How much of that was a result of playing from behind? It changes the dynamic a lot when you have to score quickly.

I realize that, referring to the 1st half when we could have mixed some more run plays in instead of relying on wilson a little too much
