What's new

Jazz looked.....average,defensively and offensively

remember when people were talking about the "Core 4"?

Looks like 2 of those are going to go down as total busts (as far as we're concerned). Not a good average.

You mean Gobert, Favors, Hayward and Burks/Hood? ;)

no bro. "Core 4" was originally coined for Hayward, Favors, Kanter, and Burke. c'mon.

Wrong.

"Core 4" was Hayward, Favors, Burks, Kanter.

Those 4 were from consecutive drafts. Burke was never part of that term.

^that's right. My bad.

But Burke was enthusiastically regarded as a core piece right from the start. There were even people saying that "we finally have our alpha".

To troll a troll, troll. **** off.

Do you know what a troll is? Apparently not. That's ok- tons of people just exhibit to calling people "trolls" for having a different (and in my case, correct) viewpoint. The fact of the matter is, and as I have been saying, the Jazz will struggle this season and probably for the foreseeable future. Neto and Burke are not your answers nor will they develop into them. Exum if healthy is a good PG but again, imo, not your answer. Not a troll, just my opinion.

dude, let me level with you: you have better things to do. It'll be best for everyone if you just logout now and don't come back. ciao.

Do you want a cookie bro?

Well, I wanted to trade for Harden. I guess I'm a better imaginary GM than you.

Hummm. What kind of cookie? If he doesn't want it pm me, I might be interested.

You are trolling at this point because you are not a Jazz fan and on a Jazz forum. If you were put on the stand it would be a unanimous verdict and you would do hard time. Don't turn into ncoloradojazz.

Average offense? What offense? Quin needs to hire a specialist and defer.

Hmmm. I wonder who you're thinking about.

Someone who doesn't run swing-swing-swing-pnrnpnrnpnrnp college offense?

"Hey guys, let's run this intricate, 7 second wasting v cut into pnr into dho just to get into horns, then **** that right back into pnrnpnrnpnr and hope that corner guy can stay open for longer than the 2 seconds it takes for the ball handler to throw a dangerous looping pass from one sideline to the other".

Viny, get back to me when you understand any of what I just wrote.

QS's system is nothing but hope that 3 point shooters will not be defended in the 3 steps it takes for slacking defenders to get back on long passes. It's utter ****e.

False.

Also you must have missed my ;) Usually you are a little more on top of it than that.

6.3 million a year isn't overpaying for one of the leagues best 3pt shooters. That will be the equivalent of a 2 or 3 million dollar contract next year. He also is a high IQ player who can pass.

Green may not be the highest IQ, but he can light it up from deep and has no conscious when he shoots, which is what we need.

He's on a fair contract, but has had his most success as a Spur and it is hard to evaluate those guys. Had good years in Chicago as well. I would have taken him i just don't think we were signing someone to that much this offseason.

I think Green is a bad chemistry guy. He gets hot and will win you a few games, but I think he's a chemistry killer.

Vewey owiginoh pwease teww us mow.

Neto (+12) had the highest plus minus! Why, he played zero minutes next to Burke who was -15 in just 16 min. Basically we won that game but **** ourselves hard when Burke was on the court.

Burks was -12 while putting up 18 pts and getting 6 boards. What gives? He played a large portion of his minutes next to Burke. He clearly had a positive +- in the 4th. I bet he was +3 when not playing next to Burke. I bet that's why his +- is 3 points better than TB's.

Addition by subtraction. Get rid of Burke

It may be a Kanter situation. I have no idea what he was doing on defense last night. He was forcing Blake into the shot blocker but wasn't close to him at all. It was Steve Blake, just stay in front of him... we don't have to double or trap him or whatever the hell he was doing.

One game, guys. One game.

Are we going to get one of these garbage "Jazz shouldn't have traded Kanter" threads from the resident Kanter homers every time the Jazz lose?
