Jazz tried to trade for Mario Chalmers

Now that we have seen Neto and he hasn't crapped the bed and Burke may be better... a chalmers trade wouldn't make any sense. Don't think he'd stay in his lane as well as Neto. Wouldn't be worth rocking the boat.

It might have just been Cotton/Johnson/2nd round picks for Chalmers to give Heat capspace and they declined. Somehow I doubt we offered Burke and they declined.

I'd rather stick to what the Jazz are currently doing if Burke plays within himself and Neto is more or less what we're already seeing.

There's something very New York Knick-ish about replacing a young player of (to some) undetermined talent with a middling veteran who's clearly on the back nine of his career.

As for his "championship pedigree" that someone mentioned earlier - there's a fine line between "championship pedigree" and "road Lebron's coat-tails".

Chalmers is a downgrade. The Trey hate has officially gone full retard.

I don't disagree, but what goes on behind the senses we have no idea. I have a gut feeling that trouble is brewing with the Jazz and Trey similar to the Kanter situation. I know Trey always says the right things to the media but his body language, his parents tweets, and his latest instagram post all lead me to believe that he really really wants out.

Interesting. Chalmers is getting 10 MPG less this year. I wonder what Utah offered Miami?

Offer them the OKC 1st. It's going to be somewhere around the 25th pick and be pretty much useless to us. We could package it for something else to move up in the draft but how long do we keep holding onto assets hoping for the Golden Goose? What is vital is that this season is not a complete throw away and that we develop and part of that involves making the playoffs. With God awful point guard play, that is much, much tougher.

This sounds like an unsubstantiated rumor started by the Heat, intended to drive up the price of an asset that has no value.

I agree with this. I don't believe this at all unless the Jazz offered like a second-round pick and one of their end of bench guys or something.

So to fix what you call our god awful PG play you want to trade for an older god awful PG? No thanks to Chalmers, He's Mo Williams with less talent. Just riding Lebrons coat tales to a contract.
