Has the addition of Burks and the added featuring of Hood slowed down our offense? They both play a lot of 1-on-1 (and are good at it(, but it seems like it might be hurting the ball movement when they both play. Hood has a tendency to hold the ball too long and burks just can't shoot and teams dont give us spacing with him on the floor.
 
Hayward looked like an uncoordinated fat drunk on that last break. God damn ****ing damn it.

I love Burks but I think this is a possibility with him.

Ummm... here are a couple:

Don't go under the screen when Lillard is handling the ball. When he attacks the big (because you go over), and nothing else you've done has worked, then put him on his ****ing *** a few times. Jazz played like predictable charmin.
 
Trey lyles needs to go to the d-league. Withey should get some minutes.

Lyles yet to make a shot this season. Look at his line tonight. Nothing

Lol. What a stupid comment. Burks only scored, what, 14 points in the 4th? Pretty much the only guy competing and putting pressure on Portland and this ******* wants him out. Thanks, Snyder, for being smarter than dumbass fans.
 
Man, I woke up this morning and I was in a great mood. It was game day. Home game day. And than I saw this weak euro thread by Butchy and that sort of dampered my spirits but I was still excited to see our boys get a win. Wow. What an incredibly pathetic performance. Yeah, I know, the NBA season is a marathon and not a sprint but how do you lose your ****ing home opener to a team that had so much chrun over the off season?

****ing A. Complete garbage.
 
No sugarcoating, Hayward has been mediocre at best thus far. He's played very good defensively throughout the first four games, but has been brutal offensively. I am still confident he will turn it around. The sooner he does it, the sooner the Jazz will get on a roll.

You keep saying that and while it sounds logical, it just isn't reality. Teams are guarding Burks tight on the perimeter and closing out on him. He's not making the shots, but spacing isn't the problem.

That was all quin. Don't know why he told Burks to take the quick shot but while Portland was shooting free throws quin called alec over and was instructing him. Then when alec got the ball on the inbounds quin was telling go go go, and then when alec got fouled quin was clapping and nodding his head.

I don't know why he called it that way but that's what I saw from my seats by the jazz bench
 
We cant lose to Portland at home and expect to make the playoffs. I was so pumped to be 3-1, and have a big home win.

I think we are all crushed, and angry tonight. Favors isnt MJ, and there was no flu game today...
 
People forget that Exum AND Millsap were a huge part of the defensive success at the end of the season last year. One's out and one isn't getting minutes (due to Burks addition) and suddenly we have Hayward as our really only respectable defender on the perimeter. We can't get into one-on-one, create your own shot games like this. That defensive identity we had last season went away this game.
 
$500 I lost. $500. I guess the kids will have to go hungry this week.
