What's new

College Basketball 2015-2016 Thread

Also, what about Purdue? They have to be the only team in the country with 2 huge centers who can play.

Swan is not a small dude either at 6-9. 260 +. They've got some major beef. Decent wings too. I'm thinking legit title contender.

The most entertaining team I've seen this year....is St. Mary's. They whip the ball around constantly, very low TO rates, their guards are very fast. They absolutely dissected Stanford last night. It was beautiful basketball. Joe Rohon is the new Chris Herren.

I've watched about 10 minutes of both of their games, and maybe I'm wrong, but I think they are really going to miss Pangos.

Of course they are going to miss him, he was a leader on the team. It's not like he is completely irreplaceable though.

Right, but the polls are telling us otherwise. That their team is just going to pick up the slack in other ways and be a top 10 team again. I'm not so sure. I think it's a bigger loss. They seemed really solid, pretty much unbeatable last year and that was because you knew he was going to make the right play with the ball when it came down to it. I don't see them that way this year. They've got holes.

Anyway, just an early season gut feel. Nothing more.

Vanderbilt is just destroying St. Johns and this is with Damian Jones playing limited minutes because of foul trouble.

Maybe this is how they make up for the loss
My man Sabonis started strong, 20.5pts, 10.5 reb in 22 min in first two games.
Damn, them some good numbers

Speaking of guys born in Africa, is there a more noticeably missing player this year than 'who wears short shorts' Obekpa?

That guy was a beast. Probably my favorite player in college bball last year. Looking forward to seeing him play at UNLV.

Wtf.
That's weird. Is that really how he always wears his shorts?

Yeah. He says the normal ones restrict his running. This dude let St. Johns down though, how are you gonna fail a drug test 2 weeks before the NCAA tournament? Killed his chances at getting drafted in the 2nd round

It probably has something to do with being similar length to soccer shorts.

Monmouth (which is five minutes from my house) beat 17th ranked Notre Dame last night. They also beat UCLA the first game of the year. legit bros. Pretty cool.

Monmouth vs USC(-4½) on espn2 at 12:30

Wichita St. vs Iowa(-5) in an hour on espn3

Oklahoma(-8) vs Wisconsin @2:30

Boise St. @ Arizona(-4) @5:00

Bama @ Notre Dame(-10) @7

Michigan St. (-8) vs Providence @10

God Wisconsin sucks this year. Nigel Hayes just isn't good enough to carry a team that is devoid of talent or upperclassmen. It will probably drop his draft stock to the last first round.
