NFL 2015 Season Discussion Thread

So if you are Gary Kubiak with a healthy Manning, do you sit a future first ballot Hall of Famer in favor of Brock Osweiler?
Yes. It's a tough call that's easy to make while sitting at my computer. But in Manning's last 16 games as a starter he has exactly one that was better than either of Brock's last 2. 2-2 is far better than 1-15. Meaning 2 good games in 2 tries instead of 1 good game in 16 tries. It was not just this year that Manning sucked. The Broncos limped into the playoffs last year because he sucked for the last half of that year as well.

It's a lose/lose. You sit Manning and you're benching a HOF QB. A soon as Osweiler has a bad game, you get ripped. You play Manning and he keeps playing like he has been, you get ripped.
You are correct. But Kubiak was hired to get this team past the Manning era. It just happened before they all wanted it to. Kubiak will survive if he keeps Oz as the starter. If he benched Oz for Manning and Oz leaves in the off season because of it you could lose for years. Oz is a FA this off season. I think he's restricted though I'm not sure.

Stupid facemask.

Cost me money.

Yeah..

One of the reasons I like Basketball better TBH. With only a few possessions and teams killing the clock when their up, crucial calls(human error)turn into deciding factors in games too often. Being a Vikings fan I've learned this the hard way.. They'd have had a chance to go up 2 games in the division this week without that sequence and Hail Mary.

Still though -- No team seems to be as jaded as the Lions, it's just a never-ending list of horrors... Also: nothings ever easy for the Vikings.. With that hail mary both of those things continue to ring true. It's crazy.

I've got faith in my Vikings this season though -- They played poorly vs GB, tons of uncharacteristic penalties. Plus the linebackers weren't healthy. And their missing 2 pro-bowl O lineman for the entire season. Peterson looks as good as ever, and we've got a QB, Diggs is a beast WR out of the 5th round, plus a top-5 defense, It's the best team we've had since Farve. Conversely GB is clearly not what they were the past few seasons..

I think the Vikings are good and doing it the right way.
I was watching the Vikings vs falcons game and the announcers were saying that the Vikings team is built like the seahawks. I thought that was a good comparison

Agreed. It's mostly all homegrown, drafted players balling for the Vikes. The GM Rick Speilman is one of the best in football IMO. certainly when he's drafting/navigating the draft.

Players like Chad Greenway, Adrian Peterson and Brian Robison were drafted almost 10 years ago, and are still good starters.

Stefon Diggs was the steal of the draft. A 5th round pick looks like our best WR since Percy Harvin. I really like this team.

Some of the F/A's and contract extensions Speilman's signed which have been killed in the media as overpays, (Linval Joseph, Everson Griffen) were infact great ways to spend the $$.

Pats or Panthers?

Wishing I'd never asked this question. Pats need better players at the skill positions. LaFell is ****, more often than not. But, turn the ball over like they(Brady 2 int's/one for 6)did and allow a blocked punt for TD and tonight's result is what you get. Lick your wounds fellas and get back to work for next week!

LOL about Diggs being the steal of the draft. You're a clown.

Anyone know what was the extra point rule change NFL brought in that led to so many charge downs this year?

They moved the extra point kick from the 2 to the 15 yard line. Making an extra point a 32 yard field goal instead of 19 yards.

Hope the broncos get healthy soon. Ware, Vasquez, Mathis, Anderson, Ward, Williams, Bruton, Trevathan...

I want to see how Osweiler does with a full healthy team...

Diggs was easily the best value of any 3rd day draft pick. Hands down. Who are you kidding other than yourself?

He's thriving in a rush heavy offense. They haven't even fully unleashed him yet.

Barely watched that beatdown by the Seahawks, that was the worst defense, personell wise the Vikes have played all year, so I knew it'd have a chance to get ugly. quick. Linval Joseph is the key.

ROFL. I'm not sure yet but 11 games into his career isn't enough to fully gauge just how good he or 3rd day picks are or will be. Let's revisit this in a few years.
