I'm talking about leadership not points. His point scoring ability is a given, but when he come out tonight aggressive and controls the game that's leadership. That's taking the bull by the horn and saying "I got this".

This is what makes great ones great. Their ability to take games over night in and night out. Hayward has the ability to do so(like tonight), but he has yet to do it on a daily basis. We need that guy if we ever want to be a force IMO.
 
What a much needed *** kicking. Great response from yesterday. My favorite stat of the game is that at some point in the 3rd quarter Hayward and Favors had outscored the whole Knicks team (something like 44 points for them combined to 42 for the Knicks).

Ehh, Hayward is a "take what's given" type of player. If he gets open shots, he will make them usually. Then teams start trying to get physical off ball and he makes them pay by blowing by and making the right play. He really isn't this "score at will" superstar some people seem to demand he be. He just isn't that. He has been play extremely consistently for most of the season, save the very start. Asking for much more is being unrealistic. We need the rest of the team to match his consistency.

Would have been nice to be a couple above .500 at this point.
 
Lyles was solid. Carmelo kind of got into it with him. Hayward threw it at melo on both ends and he wanted none of it. Pretty cool to think of melo plunking hay when he was a rookie and now Gordon is giving it back hard.

The only disappoint was Steve brown's awkward interview. That damn guy has all night to think of questions and comes up with some weird ****. Asks like a yes or no long question or makes or weird statement. Guys just talk about whatever they want. How the hell have we not upgraded to some hot chick or cool former player.
 
Strong win. Nice to see Lyles getting tons of minutes - hopefully he'll get over the fear and will drastically improve next season.

Hood is awesome - I love how he got ejected.

We had 26 assists tonight. Is that our season high?

Meh. Most of Sasha's effectiveness is from getting into the other players' heads. Hood's ejection just showed that he let Sasha get to him. Pretty dumb move, hope it doesn't result in a suspension.
 
Hood has been **** lately. He is one of the main people holding the team back from reaching the next level.

A lot of the opposing broadcaster pronounce his name Haywood. Not sure if they just think that is how it is pronounced, or if they really think his name is Haywood.
