I mean your feet are basically under constant hot soapy water the whole time you are showering. Is it even really necessary to wash them very often?

I'm tall and it's a pain in the *** to wash my feet and kind of dangerous too since I have to try to kind of balance on one leg while I wash the other foot and then vice versa for the other one. And it's slippery in there. A couple days ago I damn near slipped and fell while washing one of my feet.

I'm thinking of going on a foot washing strike

I use a loofah when I shower, and I use it on my whole body, including my feet. Other than that, I will occasionally wash them before bed if I don't feel like showering after a long, hot day. I do it in the tub with a hand shower head.

Direct scrubbing? Almost never.

But I do not ever re-wear dirty socks. I feel like that's important.

I'm going with this plan. Thanks for the input

Hmm.. I wouldn't use the loofah on my feet then bring it back up and wash the rest of my body.. but that's just me.

Usually I just use my own feet to rub against each other and that's usually good to go.

I start from my neck, going all the way down to my feet. My feet are not covered in nuclear waste, and the loofah is perfectly usable next time I shower. I also wash my genitals with it, if you're curious. Same one!

In case you were wondering, here's what women do in the shower:

I, for one, am not even slightly surprised by the results of this very scientific study.

A bit too much information there.. but nevermind.

Feet have 4200 sweat glands per square inch. Unlike rest of your body it does not evaporate when covered tightly.

You need to scrub twice daily especially between toes. Do not believe them water will clense your feet. I would rather soak my arse w out scrubbing than feet tbh.

Like once or twice separate from showering. I have a small garden and compost that I work on daily and I usually don't wear shoes so I just hose them off before I go inside and scrub them with a rag.

Not sure if serious?

Bevause it sounds right. I wash my feet every day, twice a day (I shower twice a day), and still have bad foot odor.

I used to have chronically stinky feet. I'm talking nasty stinky feet. I asked a podiatrist friend what to do. He told me to soak my feet every day in a solution of 1/4 cup vinegar mixed with 10-12 cups warm water for 10 - 15 minutes. Within a couple weeks the smell was gone. When I notice the smell starting to come back, I soak them for a couple days and it stops. Give it a try.
