Merry Christmas to everyone!

This is especially to my fellow Christians; to help us remember remember that Jesus is the reason for the season, here are some of my favorite quotes by Him from the Bible.

Matthew 5:7-8 - "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."

Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Matthew 5:43-45 - "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven"

Matthew 6:19-21 - "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Matthew 6:25-33 - "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on... Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them... And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these... Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? ...But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Matthew 7:7-8 - "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Matthew 7:12 - "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them"

Matthew 11:28-29 - "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Matthew 22:37-39 - "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

John 3:16-17 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 6:35 - "I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."

John 11:25-26 - "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."

John 13:34-35 - "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Revelation 3:20-21 - "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."

I think this appropriate to share in this thread.

this holiday season has been very hard for me. I have missed my son, jacob, a lot. he so loved this time of year. he would stay up late helping wrap the presents and always was so very cheerful. then I listen to ashland's song by Peter hollens and the words were exactly as I felt the first time I held my son.

I was in a downward spiral that I was not sure I could get out of. the depression was deep and growing.

just after thanksgiving I was asked to narrate a live nativity here in north Logan. at first I found it odd as I am not easy on the eyes nor do I have a great speaking voice, but what i learned while doing this has helped me more then anything else could have this holiday season.

I learned that not only are we celebrating the birth our Jesus Christ but the savior of the world. the one person who has made it possible for me to return and see my son again. this realization I knew but hit me like a Mack truck. it brought tears to my eyes then and that feelings is what has saved me this holiday season. knowing I will see my son again because of Him.

I want to wish all of my friends on jazzzfanz a happy holiday. please remember all the angels around us and never forget the one that made all this possible.

Merriest of Christmases to the families of those who are celebrating.

Peace be with your son and family, Xthren/CrocDante

Merry Christmas to all.
And to all those not celebrating, a blessed day.

Great OP, Colton.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, whether you celebrate it or not, or however you choose to observe.

As for me and my house, we will be having grilled and smoked santa maria tri-tip with all the fixings for Christmas dinner, and ribs and pulled pork for New Year's Eve. Sometimes it's not JUST about family, sometimes it's the food too.

:)

Take care everyone,

Log

Merry Christmas to believers! And thanks One Brow for the best Christmas Song ever. Sums it well how I feel about this celebration.

Blessings to your family and especially Jako.

Rep is silly, I know, but if ever there was a rep-worthy post, it was Croc's. Rep that man for his wonderfully vulnerable, poignant post.

Is that Justin f-ing Bieber? Holy ****, somebody put One Love out of his misery.
Gross.
