What's new

The Clippers game tonight 9pm ET **Blake OUT**

I just managed to see a video of the injury....dang that's scary. His head to a hard bounce and he didnt really move right away. In the past even when he's hurt he still tries to get back up right away.

My guess is that the concussion knocked him out...really hope he's ok :(

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but burks missing the two free throws after his injury turned out to be pretty important. Anyone know what the rules are on letting somebody else shoot after an injury?

If AB couldnt shoot then LAC gets to pick the FT shooter from The Jazz bench

This
I thought for sure his shoulder would be messed up
I thought for a minute that he messed his arm up the way he was laying there and twitching
Thanks for the description of what happened- hope Burks will be ok, but yeah Pierce is a douche..
It wasn't a malicious foul in any way

Also someone mentioned that if AB couldn't shoot the ft's, he couldn't have returned.

Thought Q got badly out coached down the stretch. They got open three after open three. Though one of those was on Booker just letting Reddick go looked bad. On the other end they would double team and trap Hayward to get the ball out of his hands and all Q did was have Hood do tons of iso which was inconsistent good at times and not so at others.

Down the stretch the Hood isos scored almost every time. And leaving the 3 point shooters open was the players fault. You even mention one time specifically.

I just don't think we have the horses in the barn.

Hayward does not handle hard traps well.

Our only options last nite were Hayward/Hood.

Hayward had 0 buckets in the 4th, not acceptable. I think he is frustrated. Q is frustrated.

We are dessimated with injuries so much so that I question our training staff and off season / in season workouts / nutrition etc....

I get the sense the media is even turning on Hayward (Locke drops hints and he is a FO puppet).

DL did NOTHING last off season and we are paying a major price.

Think of this scary thought.

Gobert/Burks - Injury prone player types who play 1/2 seasons at best.
Favors - 60 game season type player due to back.
Hayward leaves after NEXT season as he can opt out.

Talk about a reset button.....

He hasn't done anything since the summer of 2013.

This is Lindsey's fault that Exum, Gobert and now Burks have all been injured in just a five month span?

I think our overall depth would look much, much better if we were healthy.

Sweet! We are in full burn the house down mode this morning. Hold on guys! I have some lighter fluid!

I kinda thought it was a good idea to not add to much more to the team and let the core continue to develop and then add on after this season so we more fully know what we needed. Not like we were ever going to contend this year anyway. Felt it was good to let the cake bake as was one of the themes of Jazzfanz most of the summer. We are finding that TP is not much and that Neto might actually be a good backup in the future looks pretty crafty.

It's obviously very bad luck that Exum went down. As he's a year behind in development, which means DL will have to use next year for discovering what the Jazz have in Exum, and now Gobert is missing a ton of time. With all that, now Burks is hurt. Who knows what exactly that ankle injury is and how much time he will miss.

If DL does nothing next year. I'll be a little concerned.

Booker is expiring and they took a low risk high reward shot in the dark with Whithy who wouldn't be a huge chemistry risk with the young developing team. Whithy is proving to be a nice backup defensive 5 who can easily be resigned. Millsap was given another year to see if he could improve upon last year. He's taken a step back in my opinion. After last year I thought he could be a solid 3&D player off the bench. Ingles was a nice find smart heady player that can stretch the floor on the bench and handle the ball some.

I think the Jazz continue to let Whithy, ingles, and Neto progress through the year, and upgrade Millsap and replace TP. Now DL can best know who to add dictated by what the Jazz need.

We were rebuilding in 13 and didn't need to add anyone in 13 or 14 really and this year was about cake baking, but I guess most thought we were going to be a top 6 team prematurely. Rebuilding is a long process that can't be rushed. The Jazz and DL are doing it the right way. And not the Knicks way how many times have they started over?
