Trade Rumor/Trade Deadline thread

The deadline is just about 2 months away.

There's been a rumor floating about Demarcus Cousins for days, that several teams have given the Kings standing offers for him, Celtics, Miami and the Bulls. I doubt the Kings take the bait though.

Also there's been the rumor about Dwight being unhappy in Houston about being second fiddle. He denied that today though.

Good luck with that. Who teh **** wants to give Caron Butler minutes? Did Ty Corbin get a HC job somewhere?

Any names mentioned on the other side of this?

AP Source: With Zach LaVine exhibiting scoring chops and Andrew Wiggins also playing SG, #TWolves now looking to trade Kevin Martin.

Markieff Morris had not played in four consecutive games entering Wednesday night and only logged seven minutes (in Chicago for Alex Len’s foul trouble) over a six-game span.

Morris, 26, asked for a trade in the offseason after the Suns traded his twin to Detroit. The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported the Suns and Pelicans had exploratory talks about swapping Morris and power forward Ryan Anderson, who is in the last year of his contract on an $8.5 million salary.
“Not really sure,” Morris said of whether he is being traded. “I’m just playing the role I have right now, cheering my teammates on for the most part.”

Free agent Carlos Boozer has met with the Milwaukee Bucks' front office this week about a potential deal, league sources tell Yahoo.

Sources say that a Caron Butler trade is expected after Christmas, if not sooner, with Milwaukee quickly emerging as the likely destinaiton

Bucks have young squad & clear need for veteran leadership after losing Jared Dudley & Zaza Pachulia to make financial room for Greg Monroe

The Celtics are making David Lee available to teams that would like to trade for him, league sources tell TNT’s David Aldridge, who writes in his Morning Tip for NBA.com.

Statistically speaking, for the year, Lee is a noticeable upgrade as far as scoring, efficiency both from the floor and line, and assists go, while he is a slightly lesser rebounder.

I think Lee would be a good addition but I don't think there's any way to get it to work contracts/CBA-wise. His cap hit this year is $15,493,000 and we seem to be less than 8M under the cap . Obviously it would be prorated but even if we traded Booker and Pleiss for him, I don't think it's working money-wise.

Tony Wroten just got waived. He plays PG/SG. I like him for his defense but he averaged 16.9 PPG for the lowly 76ers last season.

Booker and Pleiss for Jrue Holiday and Dante Cunningham? I think given our cap rom we could do it. Next year is the last of Holiday's contract (about 10M) and Cunningham has two full left after this year.

They do it to shed salary. They're 10-21 snd the fourth worst team in the NBA. This frees up about 10M for them next year. We do it to get a ;egit pg to either start or backup Burke. Cunningham has also started to develop a little bit of a three point shot (35% on 1.4 attempts per game) and could play some stretch 4 for us.

Thoughts?

yes

Booker is kind of ok, but pleiss looks like a giant mistake at this point, so trading either for jrue holliday is a pretty good deal. NO probably says no though
