Since that story was on the front page of ESPN for a couple of days, and then I saw it again on NBA.com's main stories, I was like **** it, I'll read. Why has this been featured so prominently? What do you think his IQ is? Anyone else feel toedalay reeely bad for him?

Don't you agree with everything he said? D Bitch messes around with his ex wife and gets whooped and than cries to the cops? ***** ****

Pretty sure she was still technically his wife, and it was in the house he pays for while his kids where there. I'd be pretty upset too.

Ya im pretty sure every man that's not a bitch would do the same thing....especially if my kid calls me and seems uncomfortable about the situation

I dislike Barnes with a white hot passion... but I feel for him in this particular incident. Fisher, though (as hard as it is to believe), comes out even scummier than before.

Barnes might be an idiot, but what he did seemed at least partially a response to his kids expressing their discomfort with having a lying scumbag banging their mom. I'd probably get a little hot in that situation, too.

Dont you think that your constant attack on other people's intelligence says a lot about you and your intelligence? It's not a surprise what side of this you've gravitated to either. You are one low life tool.

I didn't take a side. I asked why this was a leading story on the two highest-traffic sights for NBA news. Also, he gets paid millions of dollars to play a game, so listen to him speak woefully about his life (in wide distribution) strikes me as silly.

Thanks for following me around in a couple of threads tonight. You're sad.

So money is everything to you? It wouldn't throw you off your game to discover your wife having an affair? It wouldn't be even worse knowing she was with a man you know (and probably don't respect)? Would it make any difference to you if you learned that despite her cheating she was going to be awarded alimony (and obviously child support)? Would it matter to you that the impending divorce means that your involvement in your children's lives going forward will be severely diminished? Maybe you could be happy in these circumstances, but most men would go through some serious grief.

the first word of the quoted section is "Also," which means the quote itself asked to be placed in the context of what comes before it.

Should I entertain you by responding to these side issues, or would you like to get to the main one?

Go ahead and place that portion of the quote in context with the rest of your statement if you think it makes any difference. I don't. I'm not sure what you think the main issue is. The issues that you are calling side issues are the legit reasons that a man going through what Barnes did would call it the worst year of his life. I wish I didn't know this from first-hand experience. It's pure hell.

The public and media like drama, that's why it's a story, to answer NAOS dumb question.

Dear Joe,

Why do you think Barnes's statements were featured so prominently? Why is this leading news on ESPN and NBA.com? These were the leading questions in both of my posts before you jumped in. I'm repeating them here for your sake. I look forward to your cunning insight, per yuuuusual.

Sure, but this story goes beyond lazy, IMO. If it were simply for drama, then a little extra work could have really contextualized the drama, and heightened it. Instead, it was a deuce of a lazy story, which lingered for two days at the top of both major NBA news portals. I know you've probably SEEN EVARYTHNG, but this seemed slightly different to me. Maybe new-low territory.

Do you never tire of your mock posting of spelling everything wrong?

Dear NAOS,
The quotes from Barnes were featured prominently because it was a story about Barnes. You're welcome for the insight as I can see why it has been so challenging for you to figure this out on your own.

Barnes must matter a lot more than I thought. Thanks for weighing in.

Getting clicks on their article is what matters to websites. The editor probably figured that some numb nutz on Jazzfanz would become so intrigued with his choice to put a story about Barnes on the front page that he'd create threads that went on and on about it, causing people to click on the article even though it is apparently (at least according to you) not of any interest at all since the fact that Barnes has money negates his right to feel upset about what has happened to his family.
