What's new

Brooklyn Nets fired Hollins and GM Billy King

They traded their reset button

Yeah agreed, but the 2017 draft is supposed to be LOADED ... It would be interesting to see what they're gonna do with Brook Lopez and Thadeous Young. Do you keep then or go all in for the 2017 draft and trade them.

Thad probably nets them a late-first. Not sure what kind of haul they could get for Lopez. All told, that's not a big reset button. They're hosed. Their first priority should be off-loading contracts and then bet on the notion that their market will draw FAs.

It's kinda unfair in a way to the coach I think... the team wasn't built to win anyway without DWill, and then when Jarrett Jack went down I mean it's just not a team that can compete.

Pokhorov's interview "Want want the new coach/GM to be long-term (i.e., not immediate necessarily immediate success)". So I guess this is a new direction for the team.

Yes, but Hollins is not a good coach. I can't remember the game, but he lost one by not fouling and giving a team 2 FT's with just a few seconds left. Instead, they hit a 3 and then the Nots lost in OT. Oh yeah, I think it was GS. He's also made comments about how bad his team is and there is basically nothing he can do, While that may be true, he was still being paid to coach the best he can.

Pretty hilarious because Prokhorov still believes the team can contend if he buys a couple of players in free agency this summer and gets a coach who can handle the pressure of NY. That's what he honestly believes: Nets just didn't have players who could handle the pressure of the NY media and fans.

I hope he throws the kitchen sink at Calipari, You know, since he was such a great NBA coach in his previous stint. I think the whole idea is for Coach K. to convince all the Kentucky alums to come play for him.And that would start with Cousins demanding a trade to the Nets.
