AK fans should rejoice

Because Andrei did not spend 5 years moping around like being in Utah is some terrible divine punishment.

yea he only fought with the coach, asked out of his contract, whined about his role during the playoffs and tanked the SA series because he already planned his vacation. Besides not working on his game because he was too busy playing video games and ready Russia novels. Did you forget all the things that happened with Ak or do you have a double standard when determining how you feel about certain jazz players?

AK and Deron never fit. Nor did AK and Booz. I am betting he will get 7-8mil a year whether it is us or someone else.

IF he re-signs I'm still hoping he re-signs for the minimum to make up for all the money that he robbed from us!!!!

Actually, if Deron was the reason AK's production dropped, we should ask Deron for all of the money.
After all, it's Deron's fault, right? Oh, and it's Boozers fault, because everything is Boozers fault.

So if AK starts getting 5x5's again, and is playing like an all-star after Deron is gone, can we blame Deron for AK's drop in production?
50-50?

Ak has played pretty well when Deron is out. Coincidence? How much he will make will depend a lot on new CBA. If midlevel exception is still in there i can see him getting around 6-7 million a year.

I remember a lot of people on this board laughed at the notion Korver was going to get 5 million a year and he did. Only takes one team to really like him to get the big bucks.

I think it just depends on how much Utah starts running and what changes they make to the offense and especially what the new cba calls for. But I could see him easily getting the 7-9 million range for 3 or 4 years. Just looking over the past few years

John Salmons got like a 5 year 40 million deal (last year non Gar)
Cori Maggetti got a 5 year 50 million deal
Shawn Marion got a 5 year 48 million (I think)
Richard Jefferson got a 4 year 40 million (Ithink)

So I think hes pretty comparable to that. SO thats what I think us Jazz fans should except. And I do think that he signs with Utah now that Dwill was traded to New Jersey (didn't they hate each other?)

No, I just follow a gut feeling. And for whatever reason, I find Andrei likable, whereas Williams had always given off a do*chebag vibe. I don't know, maybe it's that Andrei cracks a smile around the fans once in a while.

This past year Outlaw got 7 million a year to suck :)

I think Andrei has always been a "good guy" to use his terminology. I do think he had good reason to complain about how he was being used in the past. And I saw clear as day that Deron was freezing him out in Deron's second year when he began to assert himself, and when Sloan didn't do anything about it, that's when AK went bananas. But all the DWill lovers on here refused to acknowledge this after I continually pointed it out. It was a power trip with Deron. As you see, he eventually got to where he challenged Jerry. But you don't mess with Jerry, and you can see the result now.
