Jazz VS Dallas Game Thread - WE WON!!!!!!

This is Quinn's signature win of his career so far. The jazz haven't been able to win in Dallas in ages.

Uhh, I would say last year's winner over Cleveland, the team that ended up going to the NBA Finals, was a much bigger feather in his cap.

Hayward's first bucket of the night was that same step back shot, a little closer, at the 3:57 mark of the first quarter, over Parsons.

BTW this is the origin of Hayward's 'Step back' shot.

Really stinks that we can't enjoy this win longer than half a day. We've gotta get this game tmr and go into the all-star break with all the feel-goodsies in the world

This is really good. Mods should start threads like these or just edit the titles other people have done. Work you butt you lazy *** whores. Kidding I'm just kidding.

This one was better. It's on the road, against a team we're chasing for playoff position, trying to keep a 6-game winning streak alive, down by 15 pts, two different players stepped up big time with clutch shots, etc.

The Cleveland game last season was against a bad/struggling Cavs team (at that time) and it was at home...not as impressive.

Plus I think the players proved to themselves and to the fans that they belong amongst the West's elites.

They were not bad at all. It was still against Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. The season had just started and it showed the team that they could beat anyone.

We just beat a bottom tier playoff team. That's all the Mavs are. Yes, we struggle against them, but it's not the same as beating the Cavs w/ Lebron James. We should be beating the Mavs, even with our injuries. We have the better roster. This game was nice because it continues a long streak of winning games we should win.

The Mavs are a 7th/8th seed team. They used Raymond Felton to guard Hayward/Hood. It's not like we beat teh Spurs/Clippers/Thunder/Warriors.

I still say the Cavs game was way bigger. It proved that Hayward could hit big time shots (and defend) against the league's most elite talent.

1. Mavs a 6th seed challenging for 5th now that Gasol's gonna be out.

2. It wasn't a home game.

3. It was Jazz's first win in DAL since 2010.

I'm thrilled we have Hood. He is insurance in case Hayward bolts at the end of his contract.
Also, another much needed weapon. I still want to add a vet guard if we want to do anything this year.

We need someone with experience who can help prepare this team mentally for the playoffs.

And we hadn't won in dallas in so long

With Gasol breaking his foot there are very good chances of making the playoffs if we don't screw it up. Even better, if we could be 6th or better, we would avoid the Warriors and Spurs and even though this young and naive team remains very likely to lose, our chances are there...

Our bench really showed up last night.
Booker 19 minutes. 4-4 from the field
lyles 14 minutes. 4-7 from the field and 3-4 from the line. Highest +/- on the team
CJ 21 minutes 1-2 from the field (both shots were three pointers) 2-2 from the line and 7 REBOUNDS!
ingles 18 minutes 2-4 from the field. (all 4 shots were threes)
and even erik green made a couple of shots in his 12 minutes.

And, like the game against Chicago, CJ makes the hustle play of the game on a loose ball missed basket by Utah at the end of regulation.
