Trade Deadline

Don't over react to one game. Adding a player won't kill the chemistry. For every Phoenix there is also a Boston...

We didn't get good play out of our PG and if we did we'd jump another level. Now we might not do a big deal like the Teague one but if collison came up for sale or some other surprise that is a good value add then do it.

"The Wizards are looking for help at the power forward spot and a stretch-four type player is very appealing. Keep an eye on New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson, Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker and Utah Jazz forward Trevor Booker – all players the Wizards have at least inquired about. 18 hours ago – via Basketball Insiders"

So the Wizards have contacted the Jazz about Booker? Interesting. I think the Pelicans would want much more for Anderson than what it would take to get Booker. Also, Tucker is a 6'6 SF. He has played some small ball PF but he'd be a mismatch against a typical PF. There's no way they trade this year's first for Booker but perhaps a future first?

1. Burks and late firsts for Teague, or better.

2. Sell Burks for a mid-first rounder to help a team get under the cap.

3. Burks, Exum, and picks for a stud who can push us into the 4th seed.

Those 3 assets are most likely at an all time high and will only decline from here on out, especially the late first round picks. We can always purchase another late first rounder for $3mm (1/year).

I guess as a #4, Burke's value is skyrocketing. DL should either sell that to potential buyers or plan on making him a solid bench piece potential top-20 pg. I doubt he get there, but considering how far he's leaped this year it's still a possible trajectory. Plus, with Hood and Hayward's facilitating abilities, having him play the shooting guard role could be a perfect combo.

You're kidding, right? Both of those guys are injured, their value isn't at an all time high. The earliest the Jazz should consider moving Burks is this summer, Exum the trade deadline next season.

And when the Jazz brought in Hornacek and Korver mid-season: debacle!

I agree... Not sure why people think bringing in a good basketball player would kill chemistry. Pacers was much more going on there Hibbert and Lance are both difficult.

???

Under-performing after several injuries is not going to raise their value. Burks has very little potential intrigue left. We know what he is. Add a couple more years onto that and any growth intrigue left will go into reverse as far as value is concerned. He needs to be traded today to a team making a push. The only thing that will increase his value is chopping off years from that ****ty contract DL gift wrapped him.

Exum still has intrigue as a number 4 pick. That's going to dry up fast after his injury and another season like he had last year.

Both players need to go. Today.

His contract going forward(through 18-19)will be the equivalent of 6 million today. He's easily worth more than that.

Inefficient chuckers who shoot 40%, don't play defense, don't make any teammate better, and don't have a single special bbal skill aren't worth much.

He's worth less than Trey Burke.

Burks ranks with Burke, Neto, and Booker in shooting efficiency. Hood is an elevation above them, approaching Hayward's tier.

Burke, Burks, Neto, Booker have little trade value. At this point I would rank them:

Booker
