Trade Deadline

Burks ranks with Burke, Neto, and Booker in shooting efficiency. Hood is an elevation above them, approaching Hayward's tier.

Burke, Burks, Neto, Booker have little trade value. At this point I would rank them:

Booker
Burke
Burks
.
.
.
Neto

Burks and Hood are remarkably similar statistically. The biggest differences are that Hood attempts more threes, something that Burks should do, and Burks gets to the line more.

@WojVerticalNBA
Vertical Sources: Houston has started contacting teams about trading Dwight Howard.

He lasted longer than I thought he might in Houston. Please oh please Basketball gods, get Howard in New York with Melo, and let them sign Larry Sanders too.

Basic statistics maybe. Hood crushes Burks in TS% (the most important offensive metric IMO. Jordan, LeBron, Durant, Curry lead that ****).

Burks is down a notch below the Monta Ellis type offensive efficiency, but he can't score in volume like players of that caliber. If he defended he would make up for it, but he doesn't.

Plus Hood is early and on the rise. Bring this up in two years when it's relevant.

Also, the NBA is extremely generous in assists. Burks gets a lot of his assists by making a simple swing pass. Hood creates real assists.

Watch the assists on nba.com/stats. They're giving assists to players who throw an entry pass to a high post who holds the ball for 3 seconds and then takes a shot. That's the type Burks gets.

Burks is unbelievably overrated here and makes Hood suck. We should trade him+something else for Teague.

yeah we have so many players on the team who get the ball in the high post, post up, and score after a 3 second wait.

This is some seriously dumb ****.

Nice troll post. I'll bite.

How many assist videos have you watched on nba.com/stats? I don't believe you believe all assists are created equally.

Burks sucks, right?

DL is going to use our cap space to get more future 2nd round picks, which he'll then sell for cash getting pennies on the dollar.

“From everything I’ve been told in the last two or three days, Atlanta’s requests for both Al Horford and Jeff Teague have been borderline ridiculous,” explained Mannix. “The kind of things teams like Boston, or Milwaukee, or Denver simply won’t deal for the players they want.

If they're really sellers at the deadline, the price tag will come down. That's why nothing happens until minutes before the deadline.

Wouldn't that be pennies on the other pennies?

Yeah I agree... Generally they wait for one deal to go through and the other go like dominos. Nothing will happen until the deadline and I don't see them getting anywhere near what they are asking for those guys.

That Hayward talk is interesting. They have stockpiled all those assets in the hopes to land a superstar. If they think Gordon is the guy and want to give us everything for him, how do you say no? The Nets pick isn't enough, I'm talking everything. Whatever has been proposed that they would give up for Cousins, give it to us for Hayward. And I dont think we could pass it up.
