**Breaking** Trey Burke being discussed in Trades!!!!

I think we could get a late 1st. Strong backup pg's and srong backup 5's are always a premium come the trade deadline for teams making a legit run.

So why would we do that? More 'future assets'? I think we have enough of those. We may not love Burke but he is a solid bench player in this league. We don't need more draft picks we need players who can play basketball. Lord knows our depth isn't great. Are we in a position to be trading players at our weakest position for late round draft picks?

I guess it doesn't make sense. I was just answering the man's question though, Dawg.

I wasn't calling you out. Just saying that at some point it'd be nice to have players rather than draft picks.

Although I agree with the premise that Burke is probably worth a late first.

We won't get a first rounder for him. First rounders are more valued as the cap moves upward.

Here is my prediction. Burke to NY with Booker or Pleiss for salary filler with Calderon and Kyle O Quinn coming back we'd also get draft right to a euro dude they picked that has value... Hernangoza (sp?).

Or it will be Kyle and Galloway for Burke.

Another prediction... He goes to Sacramento in a three team deal that gets us collison back. We add stuff or eat a contract to help facilitate other players moving.

I'm against grabbing Teague or Rubio or worrying about the PG position this year. Dante will be back next year. This year I doubt there's much of a difference +/- between Burke and Neto. And Green can be #2 (#3 when Dante comes back). So yeah, if you can get a first round draft pick for Trey Burke then do it. We know Burke's ceiling, but that draft pick could be another diamond like Rudy or Rodney. Or that pick could be a dud, but that's gambling and if all it costs is Trey Burke then of course you make that bet.

I could also see Brooklyn and Phoenix having interest.

Could also end up in Detroit if they moved Jennings.

In a Burke trade prepare to be underwhelmed. Will have a small return if it's him by himself.

I do like the idea of George Hill if Atlanta sends Teague to Indiana and they want Burke and a pick from us instead of Hill. Rubio doesn't work here fit or contract wise.

I can't believe this is considered breaking news by anyone. He is the obvious person to be on the block.

This kind of sucks by the way. I like trey and before he checked out he was helping in spots. His parents were clearly not happy about his PT and role... His dad is his agent iirc... Not really a sign of him being real happy with things.

Those aren't predictions so much as wild guesses...

This sounds plausible...

George Hill was with the Spurs when DL was working there as assistant GM, in fact me was the guy who worked on the Hill for Kawhi trade. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we get Hill back.

Bird wanted his team to play uptempo this year and Teague would fit that mould better than Hill who is more of a half court player.

I go to Best Buy a lot and have a **** ton of tea leaf trees in my yard. Not that wild tbh... Which teams want a PG... Which teams don't have a ton of assets. I think NY is the most likely destination.

NY wants a PG that will get them to the playoffs this year... I doubt Burke will push them over the top there.

They have no assets that are good enough to get that... So they should take what they can get.

Interesting that as the Jazz are looking to make a move, there's reports out there that teams are interested in Burke and Booker. Think there's a decent chance both guys get packaged and shipped at the deadline. Guess we'll see what they can get for them. I think it's more likely that the Jazz kick in some picks to get a solid veteran player back instead of taking picks back for either guy.

Haven't seen those.. do you remember what teams are interested?

I really like the idea of Hill on this team. A 3&D PG is exactly what the doctor ordered.

There is absolutely no damn good reason to trade Booker
