Illyasova and Brandon Jennings for Tobias Harris. Talk about the worst case of buyer's remorse. They aren't even getting 1st round draft picks.

Harris and Morris are pretty redundant as players. It seems like they stole Harris, because he is plently talented, but how does he coexist with Morris and contribute in a meaningful way to compliment the team to justify his salary? They are going to start two tweeners at the 3/4, both of whom are having poor 3pt shooting years. Seems like a bad combo.

At first I was like "complete steal for Detroit" but now I'm thinking Orlando did a good job getting out of a bad contract but the fact they couldnt get draft picks sucks.

Harris shot the 3pt shot well last year, but he is extremely up and down for his career year-to-year.

SVG will make it work.

SVG will make it work.

SVG has made teams work by having sharp shooters to space the floor. If Tobias or Morris don't fix their shots, it won't work in any meaningful way. Illyasova wasnt great, but he was having a solid shooting year. His 3pt shooting in both games vs Utah was a big reason Detroit was able to squeak out close wins.

Harris is underrated. Complete steal for Detroit.

How so?

Tweener PF who is an erratic 3pt shooter and doesn't rebound or defend at a plus level?

I like the gamble by Detroit, but I don't think it works.

Harris and Morris can play the forward spots, either can play the 3 or 4.

Yeah, they are nearly the same player. I see them playing together only hurting each other's game. Harris is use to being a high usage player. Morris likes his isolation touches. It's not like either of them are reliable enough shooters to be floor spacers. I see this failing. Harris isn't a willing enough passer to make this work.

smart trade. I don't think SVG has made a bad move since becoming GM. This, the Morris trade, the Josh Smith trade, the Reggie Jackson trade.

Yeah I tend to agree.. plus Drummond, Harris, Morris and Jackson are all young & improving guys. Add to that core KCP and that's a promising exciting team going forward.

Just read that Aaron Gordon would have got the bronze medal in high jump in the London Olympics with his dunk. Some crazy ish right there.

Marcus Morris has scored 11 combined points in the 2 games Harris has played with Detroit.

Detroit is 0-2 with Harris.
