QCH Source: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist MRI "doesn't look good" + "probably done for season and surgery coming again"

I don't know if worrying about another team in your own state helps.. you get the best deal possible for your team.

Memphis traded Pau Gasol for Marc, and they've been successful since... one could even argue MEM won that trade even though the Lakers got a couple of rings out of Pau.

You make the best deal for your own franchise.. worry about the other teams later.

I don't think you can ever say that Memphis won that trade. Marc is good, but Pau was/is a better player than Marc. It turned out good because they got something for Pau, but that's about it.

The Brooklyn Nets have offered the job of general manager to San Antonio Spurs assistant GM Sean Marks, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Wow.... he is a 'Rookie' in every sense of the word. I know he is a kiwi and I should be repping him but I don't see this ending all that well.

The Nets are in disarray, they need an experienced hand IMO.

Yep, toughest job in basketball at the moment. Talk about baptism of fire.

Stephen A Smith's take on Sean Marks' potential hiring as the Nets GM...

He wants the NBA to adopt the Rooney Rule for NBA teams hiring a GM.

Thoughts?

I'm always torn on AA and things like this. Mike Tomlin never would have been interviewed let alone hired had the Rooney rule not been place. So I think it does give an opportunity to those who are quakified and perhaps not fairly recognized.

Anthony Davis had a good game today... (finally).
It was better than good.
A good game is 25-30 points imo
59 points and 20 rebounds is possibly the best game of the whole season for anyone

Wow you don't see this very often... HOU trying to sell DET damaged goods?!?!

Houston's 3-team trade of Donatas Motiejunas is in process of being voided by Detroit in accordance with the NBA, sources tell The Vertical.

As @ShamsCharania reports, Motiejunas deal has fallen apart. Detroit isn't passing him on physical, league sources tell @TheVertical.

That Detroit--which loves adding perimeter shooting bigs--is voiding the Rockets deal says a lot about Donatas Motiejunas's back problems.

What was the last trade to be voided due to a failed physical? The last one to come to mind is Tyson Chandler, back when NO was trying to deal him.

Some are now saying SVG got cold feet after two losses after the break that they want their pick back.

Maybe that was his point being the beast AD is. This was his "meh" game.
