Did Ulis play against high upside longer guards yet?
Literally the youngest player in the country (NCAA BB) is Humphries.
Feel really bad for him. Played a very good game against TAMU and we had the game in the bag in OT to lock up the SEC race.
Up 2, WITH THE BALL, only 2 seconds remaining.. he excitedly slams the ball down (spikes it), gets hit with a tech, gives away two shots and possession. We lose.
He said he was sorry a million times in the locker room and the players rallied around him. I suspect a big game from him next up.
Saw that. Guess the rulebook for NCAA basketball is as stupid as the NCAA itself. Fitting.
To me the most interesting story line in the draft is where Ullis gets drafted. He clearly has Isiah Thomas potential, but how early does anyone draft a 5'9 PG?
No less than a half dozen refs have said it was a stupid call.
Oh well. The coaches and players have let it go and so I will as well.
Not sure what is stupid about college athletics.. unless you specifically mean the NCAA because then I agree.

Kentucky finally lets one of their white guys take some time off from riding the pine and look what happens.
I know he's so small it's tough to project success in the NBA, but Ulis is such a badass he's worthy of mention.
Of point guards Calipari has had at UK;
Wall
Bledsoe
Knight
Teague
Harrison
Harrow
Ulis
...
Ulis leads them all statistically.
#1 in PPG
#1 in FGM
#1 FG% (49)
#1 assists (by 2.5/gm)
#1 lowest turnovers (.9/gm)
#2 in 3pt made (Knight is #1)
And by far the best vocal leader/most cerebral player.
I like Ulis, but have concerns about his ability to defend in the NBA. I'd love him as a 2nd round pick. Think he's a guy who could fill Trey Burke's bench role well once Exum returns healthy.
He should have gone to St. Mary's if he wanted to play.![]()
Now Kentucky/St. Marys would be an awesome first round game.
What do you guys think about Wade Baldwin? Looks like a George Hill type player to me? Could be a good backup insurance for Exum?
I like Baldwin. Solid kid to consider. Wherever the Jazz pick, I just want the absolute best player to be picked. I don't care about positional value at all. Put talent in the room and then let competition sort out all the details.
When are Conference tournaments starting? It's almost March.
