What's new

Official UofU homer thread

Very impressed that the fans didn't storm the court, I know the PA told them not to storm but if we're going to be taken serious in the Pac 12 we as fans have to expect to win big conference games....

What happened? Utes win a big, close game tonight?

Beat #9 Arizona....Game was at noon though.
First time we've beaten the Cats in 12 years.
Wow, that's impressive.
Got over the hump.
In utah or Arizona?

I just saw the highlights
70-64

What a great win. We are a lot better than we get credit for. For example, we had essentially the same record as Arizona coming in, but were ranked 22 and Arizona 9.

We have a shot to win the PAC-12 and that's with a crazy end game foul loss and 0-4 on FT's loss.

We are better than our record shows. Exciting stuff.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet

This team is good. I was only able to make the Cal game @ the HC this year and I wish I could have made it to more. Their size and athleticism is pretty damn impressive in person.

Next year we'll have another good team. I love what Larry has done he is representing Utah well. Oh wait... I mean he clearly hasn't been doin his job and has been up to shenanigans. The whole Utah athletic department has been a disaster of epic proportions. Too late, probably gunna get audited. Damnit! Hey Peeks can ya hook me up with a place in Mexico? I know you got a secret hideout in Mexico, we all know.

What's crazy is we lost Delon last year and are better this year.

We will lose Poeltl this year, but have some big time talent in the wings with Johnson and Collete.

It will tough to be better next year, but we will still be very, very good.

Larry is building a program that may have the sweet sixteen as a baseline goal every year.

Only 4 teams have been ranked in basketball and football last year and this year:

Michigan State
Baylor
Oregon

And your very own Utah Utes.

Is there a better coaching combo in the country than Larry K and Kyle Whittingham?

Maybe Mark DAntonio and and Tom Izzo. BUT, they have more fertile recruiting grounds in their vicinity. Tough call.

Funny to look back at that Oregon home game, the team looked so disjointed on offense, we struggled with even simple passes.

Flash forward to now and the offense runs without a hitch. I'd love to get another shot at Oregon but it would have to happen in the pac-12 title game.

None the less this I do believe this team has a chance to improve on last years sweet 16 finish. When you have a dominant big great things are possible.

Dug deeper into it and apparently Dick Rosetta is his uncle. He said "I'm human and I messed up." and he's going to correct it next week.

Whew. What a win. Sad to think how many players will be gone next year. These guys have changed football.

I started watching right when colorado went on their run and I was like wtf is going on? this isn't the team we've know the past couple weeks, we couldn't do anything right on offense, just really ugly possessions..but than once loveridge banked in that 3 i'm like alright we could get back into this, and than soon after we are heading to the ft line to go ahead. crazy game indeed.

you'd think we'd be facing USC but we'll see what happens, they beat the Bruins twice already it's tough to beat a team three times

It'll be a tough game either way, just shows the depth of this conference
