Curious as to what most of you guys think about him. If you haven't heard of him, he's definitely a polarizing figure, but damn, he's smart, articulated and comes at people full-throttle. I recommend googling him or youtubing him. I'm sure you've seen or heard him before.
There's been some interesting things that have gone on at CSULA this week with him and a speech title, When Diversity Becomes a Problem. Watch the talk on YouTube, he's pretty intense. I'll be on campus there in a few weeks and looks pretty crazy right now.
 
He sounds like a real piece of ****.

Edit: After reading more of his opinions, I decided that my original comment was an insult to ****. You might as well have recommended reading what Hitler had to say. I'm tempted to put you on ignore.

A sample of his opinions:

Arabs should be forcibly removed from the West Bank.
Liberals are more dangerous than ISIS.
Minorities are the greatest threat to America.
Children should be indoctrinated into ultra conservative values from the earliest age.

And a whole barrage of homophobic and sexist garbage.

Feel free to put me on ignore. Thanks for sharing your opinion on him though.

Also, you've definitely simplified/skewed what his opinions are. He backs his stances up with facts (most of the time) and he pisses off the far right as well.

No. He backs them up with a mountain of out of context stats to appeal to the racist simpletons who already share the same view. This is exactly the same tactic used by white supremacists to make their stupid points. "Blacks are destroying America. Now here are a whole bunch of crime stats". There is nothing unique nor intelligent about his brand of hate.

Except, that's not what he does at all though.

I'm not saying I agree with him or his approach (in fact, I've cringed a few times listening to him,) but I appreciate his willingness to point out underlining issues and put things in a unique perspective.

Can you point out how he's racist using his own words and the contexts he says them in, please?
 
Siro, just to clarify, Shapiro has changed his stance on forcing the Palistinians from Gaza. I haven't looked up the rest of what you posted, but you may want to fact check your post.

As everyone can see, I did no twisting of "his actual words". If anything, my summary made that piece of filth sound better than his actual words. You know what's funny, those are the views he expresses publicly! By all accounts, he goes balls-to-the-wall on private speeches. Take this for example:

That was never his stance. He said they should be forced out of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. Which is all of Israel. And how charitable of him to have changed his position. :rolleyes:

Well, I'll be at CSULA in a few weeks and reading about what happened this week there sparked my interest on Shapiro, so I read a lil more about him. I agree with some of what he says and disagree with some of what he says - I also have no clue what he thinks about everything or has said. I do find him entertaining to listen to and the millions of words that fly out of his mouth per second.

I know a lot of things he says are incredibly controversial. That's why I made the thread. Oh, and to get taken to the woodshed in a massive beat down that hasn't happened in months on Jazzfanz. :)

Well, what ideas of his do you agree with and find interesting enough to share?

You started a thread about the guy. Despite the "beatdown" there hasn't been any discussion about what makes him interesting.

Feel free to discuss about him too, Gameface. I've said multiple things that not only make him relevant to me, but interesting as well.

Honestly, I'm not sure what your point or beef is here, nor do I get Dalamon's constant need to say how badly I was owned, but whatever floats your boat.

Bruh, you WERE owned. You asked me to use his own words instead of "simplifying/skewing", and I did just that. I even included one specifically about homosexuality to honor your request.

But who are we kidding? What can you say that won't make you look bad? Of course you're not gonna bother respond.

I've talked specifically about CSULA and asked you - how he's racist - then you gave one or two sentence quotes that had nothing to do with him being racist (I have no idea in which context he even said any of those things either.)
Also, to get owned, wouldn't I have to be emotionally invested, supportive or pimping Mr. Shapiro?

I miss the good ol days of actually being owned by Troutbum.
