What's new

Gamethread: Brooklyn @ Utah. 7:30 MST.

how sad is this??? We hang our hopes on a 20 yr old, who is afraid to drive, can't finish in traffic, shot 31% from three, averaged less than 3 apg and is coming off ACL injury....but he is an upgrade from the three pgs on the roster.
But he is a much higher value prospect than the other PG's and already has much higher abilities in size, speed, tempo, defensive impact and will hopefully become a much better shooter. These alone helps this Jazz team a lot, when he was here, Jazz's defensive character looked a lot more as a whole and if he gets developed in PG skills, he will make his team play a lot better.

Tempo is one of the worst things about Exum.

Just one game

Just one month

Just one season

All of these "just ones" are really beginning to add up.

Why the hell is Burke still on this roster? And when the hell will Burks come back? How much longer will Favors and Hayward be fine with wasting their primes on a team that can't even make the playoffs in the weakest western conference in 20 years? The Warriors, Thunder, and Spurs are legit. The rest of this west is weak.

Hayward tried to leave once. Jazz matched because they had control Hayward bet on himself being a max player and he won.

He will leave after next season when he is a UFA to win.

Favors has no balls to leave.

How the hell did we lose to the nets?!

I'll be honest, I've lost interest in this team this year. I don't know if other things are keeping me busy or what. But this rebuild is going slower than the construction on I-15 at the point of the mountain and I've had it.

The injuries, the lack of pg play, the zero 3 pt shooters, etc.

This team has played out. We need to make changes rather than rely on internal growth. Hayward and Favors are in their primes and once again won't even make the playoffs.

Just one year

Zero 3 point shooters?

On the bright side there was a cool giveaway last night.

I think we'll pull back up out of this spiral. I think Snyder jumped the gun upgrading Mack to starter even though Neto is problematic. We're playoff bound. I expect a good road run on this trip.

this is a pretty sobering loss for people with money on 43 wins. Or for people who were still harboring dreams of the 5th or 6th seed. Ouch, simply put.

Ever play nba2k enough times to see the npc run a play you've memorized? You jump the passing lane and get the steal nearly everytime.

First. I haven't played video games in years.

Second. You're comparing real life to a video game. Of all things. Are u seriously doing that?!?!

Most of there turnovers happen when they go outside of the offense and try to improvise going outside the offense to make a play.

Favors said he loves Utah and bought a home even before signing his contract. He planned on staying. I think he has balls of titanium. Just too good of a person to pose around.

This cheered me up. At the 4 second mark you can see the bummed look on that bitch Kanter's face as Curry ripped the Thunder's heart out of them.

Warning! Includes demon possesed poor soul called Curry.

Extremely supernatural content.

That Was implicitly rhetoric. But seriously, don't balk at the relationship between "video games" and "real life". Many useful lessons are taught everyday through "video games", from flight simulations, combat training, tactical planning, cognitive behavioral therapy, predictive analytics, and so much more.

But back to my point... When the offense is predictable, turnovers go up. There should be no argument about this.

Right. Just like in the Stockton Malone era. Everyone knew what Utah was doing and couldn't do anything to stop it.

What u don't understand is that this team isn't as good as most think it is. They will be, just not now. The simplicity of the offense has nothing to do with the amount of turnovers a team commits. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

There was nothing simple about the stock malone era. Sure the pnr was a staple, but the amount of back screening off ball movement, high low action, back cuts. That offense was to calculus as the current is to pre-algebra.
