Following 2016 potential draftees

Tyler Ulis set to break the all-time season assists record at UK as a sophomore.

Impressive given how he really has no big men to work with. Imagine if he had KAT, Davis, or even a Terrance Jones. The fact Skal is as bad as he is with a great PG is sad.

Who are the best potential shooters in this draft class? I'm guessing Ingram, Murray, & Hield are up there. Who am I missing?

Valentine is a decent shooter, Luwawu is shooting well this year, Korkmaz is a good shooter, Allen is a solid shooter.

Other non-first round (at least projected) would be Levert, Newman, Selden, Layman, Uthoff,

Thank you, will check them out. Like the little that I've seen from Korkmaz, don't know too much about the others.

I assume the NBA will compensate us with a top two pick for the refs screwing us all year.

I'm hoping Payton II keeps falling so we can draft him in the second round. That would be awesome. I think he's going to be slightly better than Marcus Smart with similar attributes (great defender, one-man play creator).

We have the chance to draft someone solid using our first. I trust DL 100% (especially after the Lyles).

I'm thinking our first 2nd rounder will make the roster and of our two remaining picks (Boston/Toronto and the GS pick) one will be a foreign stash and the other pick will be traded.

A better Marcus Smart, who was the 6th overall pick, in the second round. That's funny, though I like your optimism. GP2 would be a very good second round pick though. Definitely with you there.

I doubt any second round picks make the team.

I would draft Payton based on his defense alone. His shot needs work and he's not a classic PG but the Jazz don't need a classic PG as we've seen with Exum. Payton is pesky as heck on defense. That's his main appeal. I also love that he creates his own shot which is especially epic since there are times our 2nd string can't seem to get a decent shot off (one reason why Burks is a popular player - he can create his own shot at SG).

I think Payton can do everything Smart can do, though better (minus free throws!). And Payton seems to have a better attitude than Smart.

I was unaware the Jazz needed another scrub project PG.

Anybody interested in Malcolm Brogdon in the 2nd round? Always kind of liked the way he plays and think he'd have a chance to stick in the Chris Johnson role.

I'm sad I didn't know this game was happening. Fail on my part.

Simmons isn't even eligibile for the Wooden Award. Not that he'd be getting it anyway but what a clown. Especially considering his dad is on the staff. Those facts coupled with even going to LSU and likely not making the tourney would scare me tbh. Could be some consistent and unavoidable flakiness there or something.

I'd be very happy with Valentine. A leader (which we badly need) who can do a little bit of everything (which we like), play multiple positions (which we like), drain the 3 (which we like) and defend (which we like). If we got him, I'd look to trade Alec pronto.
