I love the Jazz i really do, but I have to say These last 10 Games haven't even been a pleasure to watch. The last two games i have chosen things over watching the game. one n of those being shopping with my wife..... so yeah that should tell ya. What has changed? Wheres the intensity? Who is this soft gobert? Why cant hood handle real defense now that other teams plan for him?

Again I love my Jazz! i just cant watch them right now.... anyone else feel the same?.
Thanks,

I've been saying this all season. While I love to see them win, I'd rather see something developing with this team. I hate our sets. It is boring to watch. I hate the basic sets we run, that essentially do nothing. We do get open 3s from draw and kicks, but that is about it. Some of my favorite seasons were when we had losing seasons. We won 26 games in 2004 and I loved watching. We won 41 games 2005, and it was one of my favorite seasons ever. I love watching the "underdog" teams achieve something special, and do better than they were supposed to because the play as a team and buy into a concept. It is great thing to watch.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I believe we are significantly underachieving. We definitely have holes in our roster, but the amount of talent we have on this team should be netting us more victories. We have great players at 2,3,4 and 5. Our PG play is average. Overall, I believe we are much more talented than our record.

I'm such a die hard Jazz fan that I literally haven't missed a game since league pass became available (except for games in ATL a long time two years in a row that were not broadcast for some damn reason). Some may have been DVR'd, but I watched them all. I've watched every game this season, but I haven't enjoyed it. Sadly, as much as I disliked what Corbin was doing, his teams sets were more enjoyable to watch on offense.

Last night was the first game where I stopped watching part way through. I'm slowly getting to the point where I may start skipping games.

when ballstreams died a few weeks ago, my reaction was "meh". they are boring, bad, and frustrating. and yet i have watched 90% of the games. this is stupid.

I find myself turning the game off for entire quarters. I can just tell when they are going into self-destruction mode.

They seem to be playing in slo-mo half the time, and I don't know why. Maybe because of our PG. It's so frustrating.

I agree we are underachievers. I had high hopes and I see glimpses. I fear we are going to be this way for many years to come. Wish washy jazz teams of the late 2015s.. thats how these teams will be remembered. and its Sad too. i want my kids to remember the jazz zthe way i did and had growing up. A team on the brink of greatness with some of the best! sadly my kids will end up being golden state fans and i will have to sacrifice them to the nba gods in prayer that the jazz will get better and that I can be blessed with good seed that will be jazz fans....

When they are 28th in points per position and 29th in turnovers leading to points (over the last month), they aren't fun to watch.

Well, I've only seen half the games. ;) On that note, I'm glad we didn't pay for, or go through the trouble of trying to find a local LP workaround this year after we ditched cable. Lately it's barely been worth watching online for free with bad quality. Good thing Ballstreams went under because we might have actually paid for that.

Half the teams in the NBA have worse PG play than the Jazz? Come on.

Of the roughly 70-75 PGs in the NBA, I would take Neto over half. I think he would be even better in a flowing offense that made use of his passing ability. The other two would be somewhere in the bottom half. There are a lot of poor PGs in the league.

Did you know there are only 30 teams in the NBA? If the better half of the 70ish point guards are all starters... well, that means our PG play is the worst in the league. Math FTW.

You can literally set your watch to it... I think they call it the second quarter.

I didn't say of the 30 teams in the league, ours was 15th. Out of all of the PGs in the league, I stand by my statement that ours are about average. Especially because the starters you reference don't play 48 minutes a game. Your math is flawed.

So, our PGs fall between 35 and 70 league-wide, and yet "Our PG play is average", meaning half the teams in the NBA have worse PG play? Whatever.

Saw the game last night, and the current Jazz, like about 28 other teams in this league are UNWATCHABLE! They have no "system" anymore and you have to go back to the Sloan coached Deron and Boozer teams to even get a glimpse of anything even resembling an offensive system you could watch for more than 10 minutes! And when you couple a hip hop offense with bad shooting you get pathetic basketball that deserves to be buried on local t.v. or better yet, in your backyard!

The Hawks were almost as bad last night, but at least they do less dribbling and more passing than most teams. I was somewhat surprised to see an ex-Spurs coach unable to get through to his players that you don't get "a dollar a dribble" nor get decent shots when your dribbling 20 seconds off the 24 second clock! Hard to believe the Hawks won by so much when they played almost as bad as the Jazz did!

I think this assessment just about sums up 28 of the 32 teams in the league today!

“To me great teams always have a style of play,” said Smith, a Queens native and two-time NBA champion with the Rockets. “When I think of the Knicks, do they play up-tempo? Some nights. Do they slow it down and run the triangle? Some nights. Are they defenders? Sometimes. To me, that dictates if your glass is half empty or half full. Right now, it’s empty because they don’t have a style of play.

“What a style of play does is it allows you to draft, trade and get free agents to come. For Golden State, this is the player I need: a guy who can spread the floor and shoot 3s but can also defend bigger than his position. Now I know what I’m looking for. But if I said that to New York, I don’t know if that guy fits in New York because there’s no style that’s been created.

“In San Antonio, I know I need a guy who has a high basketball IQ that understands he doesn’t need the basketball to be effective. Now I can pick a guy like that. In New York, I don’t know what I’m picking.”

Back to their potential. thats the worse part. its one thing to be a bad team playing bad with no talent. thats what i liked about early 2000 jazz. every win was awesome and unexpected!. now, now that we have a plethora of talent and cant win the close ones and even when we do win its ugly as $^@&.... Half the time we look like a rec team playing against a pro team...
I have a dream that someday Quinn will run an offense! i have a dream that one day hayward wont be the number one option on our team! i have a dream that one day we will have a PG that can facilitate on offense! (rest in peace Stockton and d-will) I have a dream that hood wont become another CJ miles.... I have a dream the Alec Burks will come back! (even if he dose not win games for us, he makes them 5x more entertaining)

I voted no because, well, they're really not. Nothing about them.
Agree. The worst part is not the losing. It's the lack of progress. And the fact they are just plain boring. If I want to see brick after brick, I can sit in front of a construction site for free. The SA game was the last straw for me. Jazz controlled the game early, had many chances to stretch the lead to double digits. But it was the worst display of shooting I've ever seen. Worse than my old HS (and they went winless one year). I left after the 3rd quarter.

DL has assembled this mess. He needs to be on the hot seat because of it.

Where's this plethora of talent? Hayward, Hood, Favors. That's it. Guess you can put an injured Burks in there. But not Exum - not yet anyway. He's coming off a horrible rookie season and a major injury. Oh yeah, and a starting center who can't even catch the damn ball. Six points and SIX turnovers his last game. That's pitiful. And the WORST PG trio in the league. DL has f'ed up the rebuild, He needs to be fired.
