Following 2016 potential draftees

I forgot to mention Josh Adams from Wyoming. Probably won't ever play on the NBA bc of turnovers and that he's a 6'2 scoring guard, but he's a fun college player.

I just don't know what to think of Ulis at the NBA level. He's just a great college player.

I'd definitely take him in the 2nd round, and sooner than that, I just don't know.

I go Hield over Valentine, but they are completely different players and I'd be happy with either. Hield is more than just a great shooter, he has that unique quick release like Steph and D'Angelo and he's a plus athlete who can finish at the rim. Also a solid defender.

Of course Valentine is going to be the better all around player, Hield more likely to be an elite scorer and #1 option on offense.

I wouldn't call Hield a plus athlete at all. Average for his position, IMO. I really don't see Hield as a #1 scoring option in the league.

Valentine is probably just as good at shooting, heck, he's shooting 50% from 3 in conference on 8 attempts a game. Can't create his shot as well, but he's a better passer, playmaker, and defender.

I think Hield is fairly average in terms of athleticism, too. I also agree that he's not a first option in the NBA. I could maybe see a JJ Redick type of career ahead of him.

I think Luwawu is my draft crush this year. He could be that plug and play 3 and D guy who can either play nicely with Burks off the bench, or just come in with the starters to guard the other team's best player so Hayward doesn't get worn out. Also could be Hayward insurance if he pans out and Hayward leaves in free agency.

Does anyone know if Marquese Chriss is leaning towards declaring this year? I saw him at like #8 on Chad Ford's big board for 2016 and #12 on Draftexpress's 2017 mock draft. I've heard people say a lot of different things about him: like he's a mid first rounder, top ten, early 20s... pretty much every possibility.

I still can't quite get a handle on Murray, Hield, or Rabb, though I'm starting to come around on Rabb. The disparity between guys like Jimmer and Stauskas to Devin Booker and Redick make it hard for me to evaluate these guys and I keep second guessing myself. Hield especially since there have been sooo many 4 year players taken in the lottery who have stunk.

I'm on the official Denzel Valentine bus... He reminds me of a Evan turner but he can shoot. Don't think he'll be as good as a defender, but he's also likely not as weird. We need more guys that can create shots out of the pick and roll and guys who can shoot... He's does that. Also in watching him teams are paying so much attention to him and it opens up a ton for his teammates. Think he might be better in the pros with better spacing and more threats on the court.

I'm kind of meh on Hield. His late development scares me and he's kind of one dimensional. I think worst case he's like Anthony morrow.

More and more of us are on the Valentine bus. The guy is a triple-double waiting to happen. He's good at too many things to pass up. I had compared him to a very rich-man's Kyle Anderson.

I wouldn't mind his teammate, either - Davis - to replace Booker. But the exciting thing is Valentine should be there when we draft unless the Jazz explode and make the Playoffs.

Alright good but let's not take this bus too far... Last year I drove the Frank the Tank bus and his stock rose too much.

I had posted I hope MSU gets bounced earlier so we don't have a Trey Burke-like situation where his stock rises too much. It will be interesting to see.

I just picked them to win it all in my bracket which means they get bounced in the first or second round... Falling on the sword... I'm a team player.

Henry Ellenson is a realistic pick that could be a difference maker.

Spurs have been in to watch Ulis EVERY practice the past couple weeks.
Ulis now projecting #26 on DX.

I like parts of what both players bring but worry they will get smoked on defense. I do think Ulis makes it as a good backup.
