Are high speed energy efficient hand dryers in bathrooms...

Holy crap. I laughed so hard at that picture. One of the best things ever
Every time I look at that picture I lose it again. I remember a hand dryer in the library by the house where I grew up which was done exactly like this. I couldn't come out of the bathroom for an hour I was laughing so hard the first time I saw it. After that I started seeing them everywhere. It got so it was disappointing to find dryers which hadn't been correctly modified. It may or may not have meant I had work to do.

And line 4 was the best of all because the damned things were pretty much useless.

The dryers that don't actually dry their hands can't be good for the environment. I just use them and then use a paper towel, so they are doubly crappy.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the most important part of having paper towels in a public bathroom - using it to open the germ infested door knob to exit the bathroom.

the air dryers are also more sanitary -- no paper waste to dispose of or littering the bathroom

the worst are the cold air dryers - - those are the ones where you definitely still need to grab a paper towel to dry your hands

Every bathroom door needs a toe-clip thingy to get your shoe under to open the door. Or they need to push to get out.

Good idea

Ugh, the entrance to my office building bathroom is card key activated, which goes into a hallway, so I have to go through 2 doors just to get in and out of there.

Nasty. Then that bathroom definitely needs paper towels.

Never quite understand why a) they don't make washrooms doorless; or 2) make them pull to enter, and push to exit.

Is there a better thing than a really clean, public restroom and toilet? Seriously, it's such a relief and pleasure to be able to do your business without feeling like you may be contracting AIDS.

Ya
There is grocery chain here called harmons (not sure if you have em in your neck of the woods) and the one by my house has the best bathrooms of all time.

I used to have a picture of them on my phone cause they are so nice I felt the need to take a pic.
It's almost worth it to leave my own house to go down the road to their bathroom... Almost.
