Can the Shelvin Mack experiment please end?

Props to DL. A second round pick for a guy who was three rebounds away from a triple double in arguably the biggest game of the year.

over the last 3 games he's at 19p/7a/5r on 55%/63%/67% shooting.

he's clearly an up and down player... but those numbers are sooo much better than anything the other pgs could sniff.

Yep.

I see a bit of DWill in Mack's game....

- Both are BIG point guard by today's NBA standard

- Both are physical guard defensively

- Both not really known as knock down point guards from 3. DWill can hit it but hardly consistent.

- Both are 'pass first' point guards

^evidence that you haven't really improved since your first post on JFC.

IDK how you can be clear about anything with that small of sample size.

I mean they are both big and beefy for their height, but other than that I'm not really seeing it.

give any running back a basketball and tell him to pass. Next thing he knows, hotttnickkk is comparing him to a multiple-time all star.

what exactly did i say i was clear about? except that 3 game stretches of that caliber have not been seen by another pg on our roster, ever, exum included.

You said he is clearly an up and down player. You used the word clearly.

Not even the fact that they're both pass first PGs?

Say what?
Deron always looked for a chance to score. He dribbled way to much and tried to break down the opposing PG with his crossover. He was FAR from being this mythical "pass-first" PG. Besides, that's just a term for a PG who can't/doesn't want to drive and isn't a good shooter. Exum is a pass-first PG. So is Neto, That term isn't necessarily complimentary.
