David Locke gave an interesting update on teh Burks situation, I will paraphrase.

- Burks leg is fine. There isn't anything structurally wrong with it and the surgery was fine.

- Jazz want to make sure Burks entire body is healthy so no other injuries happen. *My take: Jazz are nervous about a repeat of Exum where he got injured then weeks later suffered a major injury*

- Locke would be surprised if Burks misses the rest of the season. Said he has been working hard and looks good.

I just want to point out that, despite his injury and clearly being "off" in some games, Rudy Gobert is nearly averaging a double/double this year. 11 rebounds and 9.5 points per game. He's managed to score a double double in nearly 1/3 of the games he's played in (17/49) and he's scored in double digits in nearly half as well (24/49).

Despite the fact that we can still clearly see a number of flaws in his game this year, Gobert has improved on the offensive end and is contributing more than many would have expected. I'd like to see him skip international play this year and just focus on training and improving his offense. I'd especially like to see the Jazz arrange to have him work with Olajuwon this offseason. If Rudy can become a consistent threat on both ends, he'll be a star.

Not trying to be an ******* but who cares about a double-double per game? And 17 times as if that's impressive. Christ, Westbrook has had a triple double 14 times this year.

One game would be absurdly weak to me after he admitted doing it for five years. Why even have the rule then?

I think Burks probably wants to play and thinks he can play. I think the jazz are just being overly cautious sob's.

I think they were probably overly cautious with some of the other injuries this year too.

Who knows, maybe if favors, Gobert, and Burks all miss a couple less games we would be where Portland is and looking to get to that 5th seed... Or maybe they get re-injured.

All I know is that Burks is over a month past his expected recovery and apparently has had no setbacks and the surgery went well and he is feeling fine and looks good in practice and has been working hard.... Yet no one knows when or if he will even play again. Wtf.

Hayward obviously playing through injury. They made a big mistake by forcing him/letting him play.
This will gonna cost us really really much. I'm sad.
He'll probably have an awful playoff performance. So sad.
