OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

We're definitely making the playoffs. It's a shame we can't get the Clippers in the first round; OKC, SA, and GS will all give us hell. Which poison do you prefer?

Anyone but the Warriors.

Dallas has lost. I think that makes them 1-5 now since I predicted they'd fall and Cy told me I was foolish.

Pacers on a 13-3 run, up 5 with 3:26 to go.

Rockets just lost!!!!

Mavs down big. They've lost.

Perfect night for Utah. Now on 7th! Time to move on 6th than 5th

I agree that it was a good day, but the Jazz need to focus on what they can control. Their health (somewhat), attitude and effort must continue to improve if they want to keep winning and make the playoffs. It would be nothing short of a miracle if they were to fight their way up to the 5th seed considering where they were at the All-Star break. . . and that was coming off of their long win streak just to get back into the playoff conversation.

Hopefully they keep playing lockdown defense and get better offensive production as they shift to their playoff rotation. Lyles, Neto and Jingles have to continue to play well if they want to get above (and maintain) a winning record.

I love when we move up by 2 spots without playing a game. Also, **** the Rockets. Hard. Mavs I don't mind, they're just collateral damage. But **** the Rockets.

The Kings had 8 players score in double figures tonight against Dallas. Wow.

lol, Rajon Rondo post game:

"Yeah, I want them to get their plane ticket as soon as we get ours. So any time we can help, that's what I try to get these guys to focus on. If we're not going to make the playoffs, then let's help some of these guys go home with us."

I hope that the Jazz make the playoffs and prove me wrong. I didn't think they'd make it this year. I also don't care who they go up against. Playoff experience is playoff experience.

Houston will finish well, but Dallas and Memphis are both going to crash and burn heading into the playoffs.

Agree. After facing the Cavs, the Rockets have a much easier schedule than Utah. Jazz could be a couple of games up, then lose that lead when we hit our tough stretch (GS, SA and LAC). Memphis has a big enough lead that they should be able to hold onto 5th. Portland could catch them, though. I think 7th is the highest we can hope for - just ahead of Houston. with Dallas fnishing 9th.

Did you not hear how motivated Rondo is to make everyone else not make the playoffs? They might go 9-0.

I think he was just motivated to make Dallas miss the playoffs.

Sacramento's final game of the season is against Houston. It'd be funny to see Rondo deliberately phone it in to keep Dallas out.

It is actually very possible for us to go 7-2 and maybe even better down the stretch. Ths GS-game is the only one I really don`t see us winning. Both the Clips and the Spurs might rest a few players and take it easy as they are pretty much done with the regular season. If we win 1 of those two games, we might catch Portland. If we won both, 5th isn`t totally out of the picture. And, finishing 44-38 would mean that Quin gets to .500 with us in the regular season. That would be a pretty damn good way to close out the season.
