What's new

Following 2016 potential draftees

Yeah, he's he's probably going to return to school, even though he's very old for his class. Dillon Brooks already said he's returning and the NCAA just granted Boucher another year of eligibility.

Born in January of 93 means if he waits til the 2017 draft, he'll turn 25 months into his rookie season..

He's still got upside though, plenty of room for improvement, adding muscle will be a huge priority and will help him plenty on the boards.

Oregon gonna be nice again next year than.

Here's the (rough draft)lists of players of I've got my eye on for the Jazz..

Candidates for the 1st rd pick

Players I hope they trade up from the teens for; Brandon Ingram or Jamal Murray

Players I hope fall in their lap; Jakob Poeltl, Jonathan Jeanne, Skal Labissiere, Henry Ellenson and Timothe Luwawu

Players I'd be glad to see picked; Marquese Chriss, Deyonta Davis, Ivan Rabb, Ivica Zubac, Furkan Korkmaz, Stephen Zimmerman and Taurean Prince.

Players I wouldn't complain about being picked; Demetrius Jackson, Wade Baldwin IV, Tyler Ulis, Buddy Hield, Damian Jones, Diamond Stone.

Players I'd be cautiously optimistic about, who are most likely reaches from the Jazz pick; OG Anunoby, Isaia Coordinier, Brice Johnson, Petr Corniele, Malik Beasley, Ante Zizic, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk,Thomas Bryant, Dejounte Murray and call it crazy but - Malik Newman..

If picked I'll turn my TV off; Denzel Valentine, Domantas Sabonis, .

2nd round picks.

Players that I hope fall in their laps(that aren't already listed); Edmond Sumner, Isaiah Whitehead, Allonzo Trier, Tyler Lydon, Caleb Swanigan, Juancho Hernangomez, Melo Trimble, Cheick Diallo, Malcolm Brogdon, Grayson Allen, A.J. Hammons, Wayne Selden, Caris LeVert, Chinanu Onuaku and Justin Jackson.

Players I'd be glad to see picked in the 2nd; Damion Lee, Malachai Richardson, Patrick McCaw, Robert Carter, Michael Gbinije,Andrey Desyatnikov, Pascal Siakam, Peter Jok, Rade Zagorac, Benjamin Bentil, Prince Ibeh, Paul Zipser, Dwayne Bacon, DeAndre Bembry, Jalen Jones, Danuel House, Tyrone Wallace, Bryant Crawford, Derrick Jones, Nik Slavica

Players I wouldn't complain about being picked; Gary Payton II, Jarrod Uthoff, Jake Layman, Sheldon McClellan, Guerschon Yabusele, Jarron Blossomgame, Kahlil Felder, Derrick Jones, Fred Van Vleet, Joel Bolomboy, Isaiah Cousins, Cat Barber and Dorian Finney-Smith, V.J. Beachem, Troy Williams, Kyle Kuzma, Keita Bates-Diop, Alpha Kaba, Trevon Bluiett, Josh Hart, Daniel Hamilton, Matthew Fischer-Davis, Chris Boucher, Nedim Buza, Tim Quarterman, Bennie Boatwright, Luke Kornet and Isaiah Briscoe.

Well I'm glad you returned just for the fact to add another sane voice about drafting Denzel Valentine. Please no Valentine.

Luwawu would be a good fit, but I think the Jazz will have to trade up to get him. I'm actually okay with that. Use the assets you have (players, picks or cash) to position yourself to get the guys you want most.

Exum, Mack, Neto
Hayward, Hood, Burks, Luwawu, Jingles
Gobert, Favors, Lyles, Withey

If Exum comes back strong and establishes himself as a starter, that's a strong, strong lineup and you still have options, assets and cap space to make upgrades over Pleiss, Booker, Burke and Johnson (Luwawu). Add a FA or two and a couple of draft and stash international players and this team should be in good shape for this upcoming season (as long as they can stay healthy.)

His terrible FG% for the year is what holds me back form being excited about him as a prospect, that and he is a year old for a Freshman.

His measurements are pretty funny on DX. 3 years ago he measured 6'5 w/o shoes and then a year later he somehow shrunk to 6'3 in shoes.

I just watched Buddy's highlights against Oregon. My gawd he is a ridiculous shooter.

He is my guy.

He'll be way out of the Jazz range. Likely a top 5/6 pick. I'm really intrigued by Timothe Luwawu as a bench 3&D player to replace Chris Johnson on the roster.

The way he runs and dribbles and shoots reminds me a ton of Danny Green. He's of course more explosive though.

There's a bit of an arrogance there of which I'm not too fond. But that's just me.

For those who haven't been following my comments on Luwawu since he first 'blew up', you've gotta check these single game highlights out (This was a playoff game). This game was one of the chief reasons why I had him graded as a worthy first round pick last year, I think I had him top-25.

I had him graded on some, whoever's got him mocked the highest, I'm gonna mock him a few spots higher then that. .. Which is something I do. I used to say that about Dennis Schroder..

this game is also right about the time when I started to suspect that even the draft sites hyping him might have had him underrated, specifically his versatility.

If there was ever any indication that he'd do, what he's done on Mega Leks this year, it was from this game!!

I actually linked this game on Jazzfanz before it was played.. and he went nuts..

Unless i'm missing something, he appears tailor made to play on this squad, I can't put it any other way.. I really think he's one of the safest bets to be the Jazz pick.

Did he change his name or something? His jersey says "Cabarrot"

not a bad list at-all. Zubac is better than that, but I'm not gonna get uppity about it, most NBA fans have no idea who he is.

You really think Caris LaVert is a better prospect than Taurean (Waller-)Prince though??
Idk I know he is a straight baller though. Always really liked his game.
