- They've got DWade playing healthy at a high level

- They've got Luol Deng giving good production

- They just got Joe Johnson for a song

- They've got Stoudamire giving good production

- They've got Whiteside OFF THE BENCH

- They've got good rookie prospects in Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson

- Chris Bosh could be coming back too


They are prime for a playoff run, I don't think they're scared of the Cavs at all. But on top of that they've got young guys they could count on going forward as well.


I've been amazed at how they are able to re-load on the fly so quickly. DWade looks like he could play for another 3-4 years but even without him the future's pretty bright.

I'm pretty sure Bosh won't be returning this season, which is a shame.

I don't think they have missed him all that much. They are playing a different kind of ball without him and it seems to be working.

Yeah, but like the Clippers, I definitely don't see them as contenders without their star PF.

Apparently Russell said his phone was hacked... I dunno.. they're holding a press conference before the Heat (must watch) game today... hopefully there's more info by then.


I mean he is quite young at 19 and could just be a prank gone wrong? Who knows... The 'bored' media is lapping it up though that's for sure.

Hacked or not, the question remains why he has it on his phone.

I could the prank being "Haha I just filmed you talking about cheating on your GF" (terrible awful prank, but I guess a "prank" nonetheless" but you should immediately delete that **** the second you film it and reveal it's a prank.

They can spin it that way all they want, it doesnt make him look better.

He seems innocent enough.. early reports are that he handled the press conference well.


To me this is storm in a teacup. If the Lakers don't want him there are at least 20+ teams that would welcome him with open arms.
 
I'm watching the Lakers vs Heat game right now and I don't see his teammates 'isolating' him on the floor, they are passing to him, patting in on the back as he goes to the FT line...


The media's gonna always gonna want to blow these things up out of proportion but I don't see it on the court at least.
 
I'm tipping Iggy didn't welcome Nick back with open arms and pat him on the back .. she'd be more like "who dat, who dat ... who do dat who do dat..??"

Chris Paul, after last night’s game, is now tied for 3rd all time with John Stockton for the most 20-point, 10-assist games. They are both at 184. Isiah Thomas is 2nd with 198 games and of course Magic Johnson is 1st with 246 such games.
 
Brad Stevens has quietly had a fantastic year in Boston. Think he and Ainge make a strong play for Hayward in a few summers?
