how is it looking good, exactly? We don't control our own destiny toward the 6th; a lot of things need to go our way for that to happen. That's not "good".

Just look at the griz remaining schedule. Possible they may not win again, and with basically the entire clips starters sitting...

As a Bay Area resident, I'm hoping for the 8 seed.

OKC and SA have owned us this season, and we've played GSW as tough as either of those teams. I'd rather us play the Dubs and try to shock the world (read: steal one game).

Yeah, I'd rather play the Warriors than the Spurs. I'm also not sure if the Jazz have a better chance against OKC than anyone else either.

This seems about right, the Jazz are kinda playing with house $$ anyway, might as well shoot for the biggest upset in 1st round history --- The 8th seed Warriors taking out Dallas would pale in comparison.

Hopefully this bodes well for the Jazz tonight. This is obviously a much bigger game for us than the Clips, but I do worry about a little bit of a mental letdown on the part of the Jazz.

Let's hope they take care of business and keep marching closer to locking up a playoff berth.

If we can't get to the 5th seed I would rather have the 7th than the 6th. I'd rather play the Spurs. Leonard can't guard Hayward, Hood, and Burks. Down low I think we also look good. The Spurs play more to our pace and TP isn't nearly as scary as RW. I think OKC have the length to challenge us on the boards and probably out rebounds us. I think RW and KD push us out of our comfort zone and they sweep us. I think we can surprise the world against the spurs but OKC will expose our weaknesses.

The Spurs play more to our pace.

We are winning games by disrupting pace and taking opponents out of their preferred game. We are dictating tempo and getting back on D. In the case of the Spurs, we lose this edge.

I like our chances against the warriors better than the spurs. Of course in a 7 game series we are talking about the difference between 0.01% snd 0.02% odds.

Seriously, do you Jazz fans even watch basketball?

Uhh, a week ago the Clippers rested the same players -- Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, JJ Reddick, and no Blake Griffin -- and the Clippers still beat, get this, the THUNDER!

Did you not know that? You feel because the Clips are not playing their big four the Utah Jazz are now a lock for the sixth seed! Good God, folks, get a grip on reality.

Come on, people, know the sport! Clippers without CP3, DeAndre Jordan, JJ Reddick, and Blake beat the Thunder of all teams (who didn't rest anyone).

As usual...you're wrong. OKC won that game.

Well, we almost do. Utah holds the tiebreaker over Memphis, IINM. So Memphis would need to win 2 more to finish ahead of Utah (if Utah wins out). Grizzlies play 2 games against GS (W's going for record), @Dallas and @LAC. Clippers likely play their starters at home. Dallas fighting for playoff positioning. Memphis will NOT win 2 games.

Utah would have tiebreaker over Dallas if they win on the 11th. So only TWO things need to happen: Utah wins all 4 (Jazz will be favored in all 4 games) and Memphis loses 3 games (likely).

The more important thing is if we run the table all those that jumped on the over make money... I may be one of those people

I understand the scenarios. But when you say "Team X needs to win out + these other things also need to happen...." then saying something looks 'good' is just being wishful.

Uhh, by two.

Durant, Westbook, Ibaka and all the other Thunder stars beat a team without CP3, Jordan, Reddick, and Griffin because of a last second shot. Uhh, that's a Thunder loss, my friend.

But go on, keep thinking Hayward and Hood are on the same level as Durant and Westbrook. Wow.

Not being just wishful if those things are predicted to happen. The betting line will have Utah favored to win all 4 of their games and Memphis to lose all four of theirs.
So I guess we can say the odds are that Utah gets the 6th seed.
