Following 2016 potential draftees

I will say that draftexpress video analysis is second to none. You can watch a strength video and think that player is the best in the world then watch the weakness and think they are complete garbage.

Yep agree, That's why you watch qwhole games of the guy you are scouting and keep your eyes on that one player the whole game. I used to watch All Illini bball games 5 times and everytime focus on different player. Back when they were good, Now I cant even watch a whole game live one time of them

I can understand the logic of watching full games i just dont have time. Personally i have a back ground in psychology so i watch for body language and mental make up.

My coach in me looks at how they score. Was it a broken play do tbey try to score out of the offense. You also have to see how the team plays as a whole because one player chucking can disrupt the team.

Technique is also very important. Thete are things you can teach and others you can not. Why hasnt evan turner ever learned to shoot? Or mkg, ronnie brewer?

Beasley looks more explosive and shifty than Wes Matthews for sure. More like James Harden athletically. A bit less length, but more hops than Harden.
He doesn't have Harden's ability to create offense for himself (lacks the handle for it). But he actually gives a damn on defense.

I like him a lot. He seems like obvious lottery talent IMO. He's jumped Furkan on my board and possibly even Luwawu.

Nice, I too look in body language.. I only used to get towatch so much because I was married with kids.lol..Now that I am single I cant rewatch games like I used too but I always TiVo thebest games in college hoops and watch them atleast once. Opening weekend, march madness, in vegas is a busy profitable time for me.lol... I used to go with the ex wife to Vegas and I sit in sportsbook all day winning and she would come take most my money and go shopping.. Now that I am single I get to keep it all.lol

I seen few mock drafts have Luwawu going late first and early second.

From what I've seen I'd take Luwawu

What separates Devin Booker from Malik Beasley?

Here are some draft sites that list Booker as Beasley's comparison:

https://hoopshype.com/2016/04/17/nba-mock-draft-2016-shooting-guards/

https://inthegymrange.com/2016-nba-draft-prospects-malik-beasley-feb-3-2016

They're virtually the exact same age and size entering the draft; both are/were viewed as having good intangibles; both are knock down shooters and good straight line drivers with limited handles.

Booker averaged slightly more attempts from 3, but that's about it. Beasley projects as a better defender IMO; he is a MUCH better rebounder; better at getting to the FT line; he's clearly the superior athlete; and scores more per game and per minute. Their abilities to create offense for themselves and for others seems in the same tier to me; usage % and true shooting % are almost identical.

Many wanted Booker at #12 last year--and I'm sure many would still swap Lyles for him--so shouldn't we be excited with Malik Beasley at #12 this year?

LOL ... c'mon bro.

What are we going to do now that we don't have PGAB to tell us why a mock draft has Malik Beasley rated lower than what we think he should be rated?

I'll give you his response: "I've known about Beasley for years, since he was an underrated HS prospect. I always knew he was going to be really good, better than the players rated higher than him. Don't you remember when I brought him up 2 years ago by posting a highlight video and saying "This guy is good at basektball"? These draft websites just go with the hype beast but I put in the time by watching over 1000 games per month."

Maybe right now, but not in the long run. Ziburinis has super high upside. I watched him and his brother destroy Zalgiris' U18 team the other day and they are just 14 and 15 respectively. They are freaky good...

Wait this whole Ziburinis thing is real?
