Following 2016 potential draftees

I'm not sold on him. Like... AT ALL!!

Honestly, I'd rather wait for next year to get a PG. There are about 5 PGs that will likely be better than any of this year's PGs.

Maybe, but he could be BPA. He would be a good fit next to Exum if they were on the court together.

IDK, when I look at Jackson highlights, I could see him developing into an Avery Bradley type player w/o the ability to guard 3's. He seems like a player Boston would be really hyped to draft.

Really interested to see what he comes in on height, wingspan, and standing reach. His last measurements were 3 years ago and they had him at 6'1 in shoes with a 6'5 wingspan and 8'0 standing reach. He is absolutely chiseled and it makes him look bigger than those numbers. Definitely seems like the type of player who will be able to guard player 4 inches taller than him just with his agility and strength (if he locks into it) combine that with a good catch and shoot player and you a have a good 3&D PG who would fit next to Exum in certain lineups.

I like Mack, but he really isn't much of an athlete and is pretty slow. A speedy PG with elite athletic ability and strength would be a good weapon to have.

I was thinking more something in the line of... Eric Bledsoe. The question is whether he can translate his D to the league to be close to what Bledsoe is(one of the best PG defenders). They have very similar body-types - stocky and strong and extremely explosive. Even their offensive games are similar. But again - that's the very top of his potential in my mind. The low end is... 2 inch taller Bryce Cotton.

Well I've already talked myself into liking him if we pick him. I think its pretty clear he would add an element to our team that we don't have.

In a workout setting Skal Labissiere reminds me a lot of a young Channing Frye. If he can do that in games he's worthy of a Top 10 pick

I haven't been around much. What are you guys thinking about the possibility of us taking Skal? I personally would be pretty excited. I can't believe all the talent and skill evaporated overnight(over summer). I trust our coaching and player development way too much for me not to be excited if they decide to take a chance on him.

Eric Bledsoe is an alien... Not sure Jackson is in the same athletic class as him. He's one of the few guys that athletically challenges Russell Westbrook.

That was my comparison, not Cy's. I'm not sure about the athleticism. Jackson seems pretty freaky at times.

I just saw it in the conversation and quoted the last part of the convo... Sorry. Point is still the same. I just don't think he's got the combo of wingspan, speed, jumping, and strength. I don't like comparing guys to the alien class of athletes for comparisons.

Guys like Westbrook, Bledsoe, Lebron, wall, are just in a different world among a class of athletes that is the best in the world. They are unreal.

Yeah cuz when you make a comparison it means I'm saying the players are exactly the same.

I didn't say that... But when you make a comparison you are comparing two things you think are similar. I am saying Bledsoe's athleticism is such that it's hard to take someone and say "he's athletic... He could be similar to Bledsoe".

You take everything so damned personal sometimes.

I think I'm leaning toward Korky. Three-point shooting trumps everything else in this damn league it seems. Dubs were best in the league and had the best record. Spurs had the second best % and had the second best record...so damn important nowadays.

Here's the flipside to that coin though. How many teams win it all without a great wing defender. Lebron is one. Kawhi. When the Mavs won, they had a few really good guys they threw at Lebron including Deshawn. The Pistons had Prince. The Celts had Posey and Pierce. Do we have anyone that could be very, very, very good like this defensively? I don't have faith that Hayward will be or can be. So maybe this is more important and we draft Luwawu who could always become a solid shooter too. Heck, Hood and Lyles could become elite shooters...

Yep, Luwawu it is.
I like Luwawu's overall combination of shooting and defense better than Kork's. People overlook how good of a 3 point shooter Luwawu was this year.

If that's who the Jazz pick, then I'd be good with it. I'd be more confident in Ellenson though.

Maybe you just never watched Jackson.
