Gobert is going to be the team leader next season. He got pissed when the Lakers beat the Jazz. Noone wants to step up and so Gobert is showing his leadership by putting his offseason workout on blast early.

This will be goberts team when the jazz trade hayward for ingram.
 
I hope Gobert dramatically improves his offense, because what he showed me last year was a smaller, less dominant version of Mark Eaton.

A lot of us were saying that if Gobert could average a double double with couple/three blocks, we would be super happy. His numbers from this year were:

9.1 ppg
11.0 rpg
2.2 bpg
1.5 apg

Last year his numbers were:

8.4 ppg
9.5 rpg
2.3 bpg
1.3 apg

He was consistent this year, and that is a big deal for a young player.

um, how about his per 36 stats?
 
Hus energy and physicality fell, especially late in games and late in the season. Needs better conditioning and strength to hold up over an nba season. Neto and Hood had similar issues.

Catching passes and shooting free throws. And lifting weights to improve arm strength.

But France is still the favorite out of that group? I guess it would depend who plays for Canada and Turkey, but even without the NBA players France still has a deeper talent pool than Turkey or Canada.
 
France will easily get through, they have good depth. Turkey and Canada aren't in their league even with their studs sitting.

France should get through, so he will be at work with the french team starting progressively in early julyish in order to be ready for the Olympics, but not from mid june like he would have had to if he had taken place in the TQO. So he gets 3/4 weeks extra rest and conditionning.

You must be smoking some really good stuff.

Lindsey couldn't move up a few spots last summer. The reality is that few teams would trade out of a spot where they feel a franchise player would be available. DL moved up to take Trey Bust because Minny didnt value those players very highly. And they were right. Look at the alleged price Utah was being asked to trade up from #5 to take Wiggins or Parker (Favors, Burks + the #5). MAYBE Exum plus Gobert or Favors and the #12 pick would be enough to get a top-2 pick. I wouldn't do it.
