What's new

Following 2016 potential draftees

Dorian FInney-Smith shrunk 7 inches in 1 month time. He was measured 8'10.5" standing reach in Portsmouth last month. Today he's at 8'3.5".

How do they even get away with that? Seems like it would be super easy to spot that big of a flub.

Wait so I'm backtracking off of this comment... I'm not sure he's in Bledsoe's athletic class is not saying he's a bust. I have nothing to backtrack from. I would be fine with us drafting him just don't see him as the Eric Bledsoe type. I like most the guys in our range except Skal.

That was a great article spycam. It was great validation to know i was right about drive and work ethic. That is why i want thon maker. Everything i have read about him is he has great work ethic. Throw in his size snd athletic abilities and he has the chance to be special.

I'm firmly on the Maker bandwagon as well. Jazz need to swing for the fences. No star, no success.

So Thon is a hard worker yet he doesnt do the 5-on-5 in teh combine? It's not like he is a lottery lock either. Smells like agent trying to hide a poor product.

None of the measurements really jump out at me other than Baldwin. He is a long *** PG and I would be hyped to draft him.

Ellenson and Poetl both measured well too with nice wingspans/standing reaches.

Skal's standing reach is kind of bad.

Valentine's weight surprised me. He came in at 210 though he is still on the higher end of the body fat for a wing at 9%.

ULIS ONLY WEIGHTS 150 LBS!!! and has a 7'4 standing reach! Insane. I'd be scared to spend a first round pick on someone that small.

Layman didn't have a great wingspan (only 1.25'' longer than height) but I still like him as a 2nd round sleeper.

Kyle Wilter came in at 15% body fat and 240 lbs, which is crazy because I assumed he was much skinnier and lighter.

He reminds me a bit of George Hill... could be a great insurance policy for Exum if he somehow becomes injury prone (touch wood).

The history of PG's as long as Baldwin is fairly positive. The fact he weighs 202 lbs with 5% body fat is also very, very good.

"I wrote about Skal Labissiere’s impressive workout on Wednesday. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. He was good. Still, it was far from an elite workout. Teams really want to see him against other prospects. I couldn’t find anyone who had him ranked in the top eight. His range looks like No. 9 to No. 20 right now." – via ESPN.com

Wow, I thought Skal was supposed to be rising, now it seems like he is heading the other way. I wonder if the Jazz are still in the mindset of taking a prospect that will require a bunch of work.

"It seems as though the majority of teams still have LSU’s Ben Simmons ranked ahead of Duke’s Brandon Ingram for the No. 1 pick. There also seems to be an essential dead heat between Kentucky’s Jamal Murray and Providence’s Kris Dunn for the top guard off the board." – via ESPN.com

You have a talent for making mountains out of mole hills. If I really wanted to call you stupid I'd do so for one of your posts where you said something like Mike Conley won't leave Memphis because his coach cried during the final game press conference or that Otto porter is a demigod or that we should sign lance Stephenson or that Trevor ariza is as good as Hayward... Ya know stupid **** like that.

Other than some cool dunks what stats show Jackson's Bledsoe like athleticism? I was more impressed with him last year when he shot 40% from three. If he continued that type of shooting I think I'd be higher on him.

Some good basketball on today on ESPN3 11CT. Euroleague semifinals. Not likely any draft prospects will see any action though. But quite a few guys you could see in the NBA next season.

CSKA---DeColo ( he will be in high demand in NBA this summer. Would not be shocked to see him back in San Antonio. Euroleague MVP. Teodosic--looks like he is content to stay in Europe however.

Lokomotiv--Anthony Randolph, Malcolm Delaney, Chris Singleton, Victor Claver,

Fenerbache--Epke Udoh, Pero Antic, Bogdanovic (Sun's property), Vesely (definitely improved the last couple of years), Luigi Datome, Bobby Dixon (probably to small for NBA). Omer Yurtseven was on the team at one time this season, but maybe trying college route (we will see).

Laboral--Mike James (not the 45yr former NBA player). He can really jump out of the gym, Adam Hanga--Spurs property does a little of everything but probably not quite NBA level, Shengeila, was in the NBA not sure he will try to come back though, Bourousis--had a chance to play for the Spurs a few years back but declined 33 years old now so NBA days may have passed him, Ilimane Diop--NBA draft prospect. Can block shots but almost no offensive skills what so ever, Davis Bertans was a hot prospect until he injured his knee. Spurs property still has stretch 4 capabilities though. Could replace Bonner.

It's probably been mentioned on this thread but I think Labissiere should stay another year at UK so he can develop. The guy looks legit though. Thank goodness DL is amazingly thorough with his scouting. He and Korkmaz are intriguing.

Based on measurements, color me intrigued with Kris Dunn and Malachi Richardson in Round 1, and Gary Payton in Round 2.

I love length and big hands.

Porter is a god and I think Conley had an emotional attachment to his coach and team. The other **** you listed good luck finding because I never said any of it. Don't step on deez nuts as you backtrack

DeColo 30 points today. His wallet is getting bigger.

Am I completely off base in thinking that McCaw might be more of a PG than a SG?

He is playing PG in these combine 5-on-5's and he looks pretty good in that role. Dude is built like a complete tooth pick and doesnt seem all that athletic, but he has quick hands and he runs the PNR nicely.
