He just has a much better feel for the game than Booker or Withey. He would improve the team for sure.

Booker has a good feel for the game, actually. His shot just fell off a huge cliff.

Pretty much any jazz highlight vid from the past two years has excellent passes from Booker. And he knows how to use his motor on defense. If he could shoot, then.....

If you watched games you would understand.

I watch a lot of basketball... I play a lot of basketball... but I guess when the facts are stacked up against you go ahead and reach for the monkey poo to fling. Just so predictable.

Not to mention he fits better with Favors and Gobert than Zeller does.

The last two seasons before this one Booker was over 70% at the rim... which is better than Zeller... Booker had a terrible year finishing this year... and was still better than Zeller who had his best year.

Zeller has some good qualities and plays hard but to call him a major upgrade is just not accurate.

You should just say he's hungrier and he wants it more...

Can't believe everyone has given up on Tibor so soon.

Also, I find it strange that for a team that has made the playoffs once in the last six seasons we are talking about who should be the team's 4th or 5th bigman. Interesting.

Tibor is going to show us something next year.

I'm ambivalent about keeping Pliess. If they don't get anyone better, then fine. . . keep him. I'd prefer that they try to get better options. I want the Jazz to target Pau Gasol in free agency. And then, I want them to grab a young, developmental big to spend the season in the D-League (like Tibor did last year.)

The way I see it, you start with Gobert, Favors, Lyles, Hayward, Hood, Burks, Exum and Mack as your top 8 rotation players, and then keep Jingles (as a glue guy) and Neto as the 3rd PG. That's 10 spots. I'd like to see them add Gasol and another wing in free agency. Then add two new draft picks (#12 and then a trade up from #42). . . that's 14 spots filled. That means, that the Jazz let Booker walk, likely traded Burke in the draft and have to decide between Johnson, Withey and Pliess for the last spot. Out of those three guys, I lean towards keeping Withey. But I'd be happy to make him earn it before moving on.

Because the core 4 or whatever that hasn't accomplished anything is suddenly going to lead us to a title, so we need that 10th man who will put us over the top.

"bake the cake, fight for eight"

Did you happen to notice that one time when Utah was one of the best teams in the NBA for half a season? Best defense by a large margin and 4th best point differential. In the league. For the 2nd half of the season. Not the first half, when teams are bored and just cruising along, but the 2nd half, when everyone is jockeying for position.

Why in ****s name is everyone acting like that stretch of b-ball was a 2 week run when other teams weren't playing? BS...

You mean the second half where the bottom teams are tanking hard, and the top three already have their playoff position solidified and are resting up for the playoffs? We excelled when half the NBA was done for the year. There is a reason why 1-2 teams blow up after the all star break and then disappear the next year:

They weren't that good to begin with and they took advantage of tanking/content teams.

We had the 5th best point differential in the west while missing our starting PG for the whole year, and 6th man for the majority. We can certainly improve, and should look to, but the idea we need to blow this thing up seems crazy to me. We're still pretty young.
