If the Jazz think Exum is healthy and they think he's going to be a big star then Wade Baldwin or Demetrius Jackson won't be drafted #12.They won't trade down or trade for Jeff Teague ,no they will pencil Exum in for 30 minutes a night and look for more scoring help. Furkan Korkmaz,Denzel Valentine,Marquese Chriss or a surprise like DeJaunte Murray will be picked ,insurance for Hayward and Burks if somehow they leave in the next year or so
My bet is they get another running mate for Exum.

It is hard to know what to do regarding PG. Exum was our super high pick, so I'd like that to pan out but it's not like any of us were wowed in his rookie year. But yeah, it was a rookie year so the jury's still out.

I guess BPA regardless of position.

another rookie PG doesn't insure anything if winning next year is the goal.

BPA, regardless.

I don't know about you, but from. Defensive standpoint he wowed me his rookie year. Game could come when he virtually relatively shuts down a Westbrook, or a Lillard and the whole NBA be like Damn, that Aussie is for real.

This. Last time we drafted for need, we needed up with Trey Burke and we all know how that turned out.

Yeah, defensively Exum is fabulous. And, since he doesn't appear to me to be a star or even an alpha, he should be pretty cheap while still being effective on the defensive end with the occasional 3 pt. threat.

BPA. It's a conundrum though if BPA is a PG.

No sense developing 2 PGs (one first year, one second year) at the same time. They get a transition vet PG for 1-2 years. Dante - Vet - Shelvin.

If we draft another crappy PG do we get the Detroit Lions award?

My goodness. How many more PGs must we draft?

All of our PGs seem to be the same. Uber young and very average. Why not sign a vet instead and draft something else?

During their run after the All-Star break in 2015, the team’s starters with Exum at point outscored opponents by 12 points per 100 possessions and boasted a defensive rating of 92.

so in your opinion ,Exum is average....came out of a Australian high school to finish out the season starting for the Utah Jazz...Do wins count in your book and making your team better because you're playing ?

Lol

Exum was the worst start in PG in the league when he played. The stats proved that and my memory of watching him bring the ball up only to pass it to Hayward and hide in a corner prove it.

People are acting like he's the savior of this franchise. He's got a long way to go. Does he have potential? Yes. But he's got a long long long way to go. Even when he was physically capable he was too scared to do anything with the ball. It's going to take him some time to get used to physical play.

Anyone watching the playoffs should be able to see how far away we are.

We need more aggressive bigs, better 3 pt shooters, far enter perimeter d, and a significant upgrade at the PG. literally, half of our roster doesn't belong on a playoff team. Booker, Pleiss, Burke, Burks, Neto, and Jingles are cool guys. But they need to go.

Burks especially, I just don't trust him to play more than half the season due to injury.

You still haven't provided concrete specific alternates ??

Whether you like it or not it's clear management believe Exum is the key. If he's not as good as they believe he'll be there is no chance the Jazz contend for the next 10 years at least.
