2016 NBA Playoff Thread

Remember when Klay was one of the players we had discussed drafting? I remember many of us were disappointed when he was picked before we drafted. It's too bad we couldn't have moved up a few spots.

Think players like Kawhi and Klay would be as good as they are had we drafted them in the Corbin era? Are they products of the system? What would our team be like had we drafted Klay and/or Kawhi?
 
I wonder if OKC is going to really show up? I could see game 7 ending up in a GS blowout. I think it'll probably be close due to KD and Westbrook's greatness. But I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being a blowout. GS has its mojo back and OKC has got to have the sinking feeling that game 6 was the series.

If Toronto is Jurassic Park then Oracle in game 7 is going to be Jurassic World.
 
Choke job?

I wouldn't call it much of a choke job as GS kicking it up a notch. There isn't a defense in the world that could stop Klay last night. When he's hitting shots from almost mid court? You tip your hat off to him.

AI made one hell of a play stripping Westbrook of the ball.

OKC didn't choke. Golden State just made plays. Much like Houston didn't choke in 97. Stockton and the Jazz just made epic plays.

I went from rooting for GSW until Green kicked Adam's nuts to rooting for the Thunder, then Ignacio's trolling has reverted me back to rooting for the Warriors.

Ya I was rooting for the thunder (I like durant better than curry and I also really like westbrook) but everyone counting the warriors out and suddenly acting like they suck made me start to root for gsw and then ignacio kind of got me the rest of the way there.

Im a lebron homer though so I will root for the cavs no matter who when this series.

I was hoping for a bit of an upset.

But after a few days of people acting like the Warriors suck really turned me off.

Also, calling Green dirty was hilarious given how much Jazz fans loved Malone and Stockton. Ever see Stockton set picks down low? There's a reason why Chris Webber said that he preferred being picked by a 7 footer over Stockton.
 
Rooting hard for the Warriors. I want Steph and his Dubs to **** all over MJ's legacy. **** him.

....well, another one of my well calculated predictions, gone to pot! Stat of the the game:Westbrook and Durant in the first half, 0 turnovers! In the last 3 minutes? SIX TURNOVERS! I've come to the conclusion that the team that misses the LEAST amount of forced shots is going to win! Both of these teams launch a ton of forced shots! How some of them go in is absolutely amazing!

NBA Myth #1; Stockton and Malone were dirty players! ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! Hard nose, physical and extremely smart with a basketball IQ off the charts? Yes! Dirty? No! There's a reason why Malone is the 2nd leading scorer in NBA history with a whole host of other records, and there's a reason why Stockton has two NBA records that will NEVER be broken (Assists and Steals) and NONE of them are related to dirty play! All the bloody noses Malone dished out were the result of "smart" basketball when he woud receive a pass underneath from Stockton and instead of dribbling, would go STRAIGHT UP for the layup while the defender was leaning in or just covering him too closely! Stockton set clean, crisp picks and defenders where either out of position or unawares of Stockton's whereabouts...and got there clocks cleaned by his perfectly legal picks!
 
I don't expect Game 7 to be as exciting as Game 6.

This was OKC's chance and they blew it; now it's LeBron's turn.
