2016 NBA Playoff Thread

lol whoever said this is an idiot
Don't feel too bad. I could (but won't) bump posts of a few posters guaranteeing a 20+ point blowout... Many people were totally counting the warriors out and giving them no chance.
Even in my post below you will see that I said that if I had to put money on the game I would take okc and their fantastic home crowd.
I just couldn't fathom how people were talking about the warriors like they were a bunch of chumps.

I saw a lot of talk about how okc matches up with Cleveland and whatnot. Lots of people were writing the warriors off.

I have felt since before the playoffs even started that there was a clear top tier of teams. Warriors, spurs, thunder, cavs. Many people thought the warriors and spurs were in their own tier. I didn't. You can't count any of those teams out in a series until it's over. Especially the warriors. They have been breaking records all year and doing things no one else has ever done. (73 wins. Only unanimous mvp ever. Only player to average over 30 points and under 35 minutes. iirc curry broke a shooting efficiency record. I think, but am not sure, that they set a point differential record too.)
They are defending champs. They have the mvp.

Having said that, if I had to bet money on which team wins the series I probably take okc to win this next home game. Best home crowd in the league and one of the best I ever saw.

I have liked the strategy of the thunder to let curry into the paint but try to stop him from getting any kind of look from three.

Durant seems to be the best offensive player in the league to me. Please come to utah next year lolyaright.

Westbrook has improved his all around game a lot I think and picks his spots a little better than in the past but I still feel that he should shoot less and durant should shoot even more.

Nailed these ones
I can't see the warriors getting blown out that bad again

I find it strange that the team that won the title last year, won 73 regular season games this year, and have the mvp have no chance to win this game and are expected by so many to just be blown out. Smd.

It's like people think the warriors are on the same level as the Sacramento kings or something.
Strange.

I wanna say something... Hayward is not better than Klay...
This should have been obvious long ago.
Will we be hearing from Ignacio tonight?
Course not.

Iguodala played the best wing D I think I've ever seen in my life. He won them that game man. It was crazy.
This.
He was fantastic. Even when durant was scoring iggy was making it way difficult.

I remember someone (ignacio I think) asking who the warriors had to guard durant. I listed many guys (Thompson, barnes, green, livingston, iggy and a few more) thinking that they would just keep sending waves of guys at him. Iggy should have been the obvious answer.
I didn't think he could guard him at that high of a level for that duration. Iggy is a gamer. Steps up when you need him.

a few days ago there were peeps on JFC telling me that Iggy wasn't that big of a deal anymore. Welp.

I haven't looked at the box score but with the season on the line it seemed to me that gsw shortened their bench (I don't barbosa even played) and had their main guys go with big time minutes.
Probably the obvious thing to do but good call by kerr of that was in fact the case.

And please for the love of god no more hack a whoever for this game 7.

I mean I always hate watching it but in a series like this it annoys me even more than usual.

1 minute in the box score. Don't remember seeing him at all though.

I don't know if I was one of them but wouldn't be surprised if I was. I doubted him again like I did last year. And like I have doubted the spurs for a long time.

Sometimes I never learn. (Don't think that sentence makes sense? Nonsensical sentence)

Pretty awesome game. Game 7 should be fantastic.
I think it's pretty much a toss up with a very very slight edge to gsw.

really surprising, didn't expect KD and Russ to choke this hard this time... I stand corrected.

Naturally you'd then expect GSW to take it away in game 7 but this has been a weird series.

KD's gotta be pretty down on himself.

I didn't change my mind King Cy, you ****ing retard. I felt we could have took the game. And we could have. That was blatantly obvious, even with the Refs rigging it.

It's no biggie, we won't lose Game 6. Can't wait until the 73 wins to be wasted. So much ammo for those twink lovers all year.

I take it you still haven't stopped crying in Mommy's basement in that hell hole you call Oklahoma City eh ??

lame effort not to turn up after all your running your stupid mouth. As pathetic a choke job as your useless team.
