Following 2016 potential draftees

Thanks. Watching that vid makes me want him more. It would be interesting to see him compete with Gobert over the next few years, see if he can pass the stifle tower. He's not a great rim protector, but he's not awful. He'd still be a tough post defender and help defender with plenty of offense. Not ready to say he will be good outside till I see it translate in actual NBA games.

If he falls to the Jazz, u thank god, draft him, then laugh at all the teams, and clown them for passing on him. Just a few days ago, I thought he was for sure a top 7 pick, but everything I here on jazzfanz has me excited he could actually be available for the Jazz.

I could see it happening. A lot of the teams in the lottery already have a starting center.,so he might just get passes up if teams go position need instead of BPA. Once all the top wings and guards are off the board I don't see people passing on him for the likes of 3rd tier wings (Korknaz, Baldwin, Luwawu, etc) or potential driven bigs (Skal, Davis,Jones). Only way he drops to us is if he gets to 10 and Milwaukee decides to go local and take Ellenson.

Drafting for need over BPA is the worst thing a team can do. That's how Jordan ended up as a Bull. Drafting for need can sometimes set a team back years.

Was watching, I believe it was a Kris Dunn workout video and there was a big white guy working out at the same time. He looked familiar, but I couldn't quite figure out who it was. He just looked awkward out there - yep, turned out it was Poeltl.

Sorry, that's all I got. Anyway, far too much Jakob discussion going on. Zzzzzzzzz.

I don't know if the Jazz would take Poeltl. He didn't interview with them and I suspect they won't be able to get him in for a workout given his higher draft projection. The center need is last on our list as well. I think Milwaukee goes with Poeltl or Baldwin at 10.

The Jazz have a long history of taking guys they didn't interview.

that's just it - sure, I'm a byu fan, but at the time i was watching the video i had no idea it was a ute out there. i just noticed the tall, awkward looking white guy. and trust me, as a byu fan, i know awkward looking white guy when I see him. might be a great NBA player one day - just thought it was funny the guy turned out to be poeltl.

Poetl is about as far as it gets from awkward on the court.

I thought Poetl looked less awkward than Enes Kanter in his final season with the Jazz.
I've never thought poeltl looked awkward on the court (granted, I've seen very little of him) but for those few seconds during that Dunn video, he looked like he'd fit right in with some of the big guys BYU tends to throw out there. Then to find out it was poeltl made me chuckle.

It's probably because you are looking at him on the same court as Kris Dunn who is one of the smoothest athletes in this draft. I'd say overall for his size Poeltl is not awkward at all. I actually love his movement.

That and it was just a few clips. It didn't mean anything. Just found it kinda funny.

I def see some awkwardness too. Are his hnads small too? Situationally speaking, he doesn't have the ball in his hand like most big men.
