Following 2016 potential draftees

You know how many nuts the Cavs would give to have Derrick Favors or Gordon Hayward on their team right now?

Both of Love's nuts and every future pick they have.

You are working towards retard homer status. I used to respect your takes.

Says the guy who is advocating trading our best player for a player that went to the school that he is a booster for. Yeah no bias homerism exist in that take.

I've been fair on this board for years. You post junk (and of lesser quality than what our current PG posts).

We NEED to move Hayward to become, eventually, competitive.
Probably add Favors to that as well.

Mostly Hayward, though.

Let's not create this little clique club, let's compete.

This post isnt fair or intelligent at all. It implies that Hayward and Favors are holding us back from being competitive, which is completely false. Nothing about their play has held us back. What has held us back is being in a rebuilding state and focusing on developing other players around them instead of aggressively pursuing talent that compliments them and is already playing at a high level.

Clearly.

Hayward is better player than Murray. I'm sorry if you disagree with something that is so readily apparent.

Why?

Hayward shoots average.
Handles average.
Rebounds average.
Paid max.

I love Hayward, I do, but trying to understand the sacred cow thing.

So 20 ppg, 5 rebounds and 4 assist is average? Not to mention he is playing on one of the youngest teams with one of the slowest paces and lowest payrolls in the NBA?

Got it bruh, Hayward totally holding us back.

I'm willing to learn and be wrong.
So, sincerely, what about Hayward screams good contract?
How does Favors really make us elite?

Gordon Hayward is one of the top 30 players in the NBA. There are 30 teams in the NBA. That means, at the very least, there will be 30 max contracts in the NBA (there are more than that though). So by the simple virtue of Hayward being a top 30 player means he is worth a max contract.

Less than 35% from 3.
Less than 43.3% overall.

What is elite that suggests MAX money?

Hayward and Favors are also 2-way players, which if you havent noticed in the playoffs, is a very important thing. They are 26 and 24 respectively, they havent even hit their prime yet. Yet you want to discard them for a restart when we havent even given them the benefit of roster that was meant to compete and not just develop.

He is one of the 30 best players in the league (both offensively and defensively). You don't have to be elite in any one thing to obtain that status.

Mediocre is what we are when that's what we accept/defend.

So trade one of the top 30 players in the NBA for an unproven 3rd tier talent combo guard? Is there any more mediocre way of trying to compete than that? That is just giving up like a little bitch instead of seeing this team through and giving them the proper resources to contend.

Yes. On a hunch. With balls.
Manage with swagger over fear.

No fear.

The Jazz obviously believe in this team and the players that make up the core. To give up on them, when they have improved ever year and shown a ton of promise despite never being given a complete roster (both by management not signing the best available players and by injuries), would be fear. Fear that they were wrong and not sticking with the original plan.
