What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

I turned it on for a few minutes and saw some of Fox's work, looks very good. Saw the chunkier white guy on Fox's team almost get posterized too.

So, is every player on these teams college scholarship bound? Or are they just teams with a couple of college bound players?

Not the best HS teams in their states, at all. Chino Hills would run Leaf's squad off the court. Fox's team has a few losses and doesn't seem to really have anyone taller than 6'6", they'd get absolutely decimated by Advanced Prep (Trevon Duval, Billy Preston and Terrance Furgeson).

Pascal Siakam is now DX's 13th ranked Sophomore (up from somewhere in the 70's IIRC) and mocked 34th in 2017 by DX on their update yesterday.. He's very old for a Sophomore so look for him to possibly declare in 2016 - if he continue to gain steam. Good player though, well worth taking a flier on.

also a player I used to talk about from D'Angelo Russell's OSU recruiting class, Kieta Bates-Diop, has shown up at 44 in the 2017 mock. he's 6'8", 7'2 wingspan with obvious 3 and D potential, kinda seems like a good roleplayer IMO.

They've got the FSU freshman wings Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley at 27 and 36 respectively in the 2017 which is fair at this point.

Luke Fischer of Marquette has surfaced at the end of the 2nd round too.

The Ben Simmons fans on this forum are going to lose their **** when they see just how good of a passer Lonzo Ball is, he might have eyes in the back of his head...

Chino Hills (A PUBLIC HS!) took out the #1 ranked Montverde last night!! They deserve to be #1.

Interesting the Omer Yurtseven is now trying to go to college. His team Fenerbache says that they have been paying him and therefore he is ineligible for college, but Yurtseven insists that he has never had a contract and has not taken any money. Looks like Duke and Kentucky are two teams trying to recruit him. However, I think a Kanter situation is very likely.

Following this one closely. According to Yurtseven he has not taken any money but Fener is saying they have been putting money in an account for him all along.
Interesting to see how the NCAA handles these things with the looming/pending stuff at UL and UNC. There's unusual pressure right now, I believe.

Also a bit strange that it's Duke and UK being spoken of the most.. neither team really has a need for him (compared to many other blue bloods).

Yeah, UK is just tearing up the NCAA and has no need for a good player.

(snickers)

He wouldn't play this year, douche.
And I'd be a whiny bitch of a fan if I complained about being ranked a lowly #14 after Cal's first 6 years including 5 final fours and chip.

Speaking of snickers.. you should have one.. You're looking/sounding like little bo peep.

Are we really gonna brag about those achievements given the insane excess of talent they have every year? Not impressed. Bro.

Bragging? No. Setting you straight? Yes.
It was said by the "best" coaches in the country that you simply can't win with freshmen. Cal has done so at a very high level and now you have those same naysaying coaches beginning to follow his lead.

Cal going to 5 final fours in 6 years with a whole new team each year is very impressive. Obviously I wish some of the guys had hung around a couple years and we win more chips.. but I am very impressed with the level of winning with the youngest teams in the country each year.

It is awesome to be hated, tho.

Fair enough. Your name-calling left a bad taste in my mouth tbh.

Well KY does not need him as they will have probably at least 5 6'9" and above guys next year, however Duke looks like it will have a need. Jeter is not a good player right and he is about the only big guy probably on next year's team from this year. Why cant Tatum play the 3, Giles play the 4 and Omer at the 5?

Sounds like a shady practice by Fener to keep players from being college eligible even when they dont have an actual contract. Fender up in arms about him attending the BWB camp. Apparently he did not notify them, but again if there is no contract why would he need to. Fener barely plays him so he is not getting any real game time action.

Fener is VERY shady in how they try to keep these kids from having options.

The funny thing is, Fener claims that they've sent the money to Ömer's account, and even if he did not touched the money, he also did not give it back.

Lulz.
