What's new

Following 2016 potential draftees

Two hours to go on early entrant withdraw deadline. I am so excited, that is the truth, and very, very sad.

Kids, don't let your life become like this.

What is sad is I played the Euroleague Fantasy Challenge this past season. Kept 15 teams up for the whole season. Did win a $150 watch out of it though. :)

So far looks like all the biggest prospects staying in. Will make draft much better.

I was reading somewhere that this might be the deepest draft in a long time. One scout said that there could be 50 NBA quality players but the talent from 1-50 is pretty even.

But we can't absorb salary until after the draft right.. that's when the new year would kick in?

This is where an unguaranteed large contract would have been a great idea last year... instead of punting on free agency.

Indeed. I didn't think about that little detail. I'm not sure if that's the exact rule, but it sounds reasonable that it would be.

Jamal Murray hit 79 of 100 3’s in Boston last week. Buddy Hield, per source, hit 85 of 100 in front of Celtics brass today in California.

Insane how much this game is changing right before our eyes.

I couldn't agree more. This is a very good draft. Certainly not top heavy, but when you've got guys like Bentil, Siakam, Felder, Barber, Levert in that 45-50 range, it is strong.

? Players have always been able to hit practice shots.

I had a mini rant thread where I lamented the fact that we don't have an unguaranteed deal to function the same way as absorbing cap space.

Open gym without a rebounder passer I make 65-70% from NBA three or range... I'm not projected to go in this draft and peaked as a role player in HS.

Rebounder helps and these numbers are good but I'd love to see the drill and I'm not surprised by this in the least... I would have expected these types of #s.

I wish I remembered where I saw it, but the quality of this years draft picks is the highest it has been since this company began its analytical model since 2001. How good there model is I dont know.

Kork is staying in the draft. Many places reporting that he was going to pull his name out because this year he performed well below his abilities.

Turkish League playoffs finally over. Interesting to see if he tries to come over and workout. If not he could always have some workouts in Turkey though.

I assume that he won't because he was looking for a lotto guarantee to stay in. He's in so I bet he got his guarantee.

I'm cooling on my hype for Ellenson. His feet are a bit slow on defense. I don't see him as being more than a barely adequate defender, if that. He struggles to get above the rim without a running start. He can bulk up and nail his jumper, but as skilled as he is, he's a bit less athletic than Kanter was, imo. Just not that bouncy.

He's an okay prospect; not great, but won't be terrible either. He's like a poor man's Kevin Love... and I'm not a big fan of Love.

I'd take him in the mid teens.
