What's new

Following 2016 potential draftees

Dejounte's ball handling, speed, and shiftiness make him such a better creator than Baldwin. He's much more creative with the ball.

Being able to create is what it takes to be more than a role player in the NBA. When drafting in the lottery, ability to create at the next level is one of the key things I'd be looking for, and Dejounte has it.

What ? Trade the 12 to the Spurs for what?

"The Utah Jazz are said to have the 12th pick on the trade market and may have a trade partner in the San Antonio Spurs if the right players start to fall into that range. When you factor in the friendly nature of the Spurs fraternity and the Jazz’s desire to add veterans, doing a deal with San Antonio becomes interesting – especially if it yields a decent roster player. The Jazz have worked out a few players, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they keep the pick if the Spurs’ wish list does not materialize. The 12 spot is believed to be Gonzaga’s Domantas Sabonis’ floor and could be the ceiling for Vanderbilt’s Wade Baldwin, although the Sacramento Kings just got Baldwin in for a workout so that could change.

In all, it’s believed that the 3, 6, 12, 15, 16, 19, 23, 24 and 26 picks could all be moved – with at least half of those picks being more than likely moved at some point during the draft." -Steve Kyler, Basketball Insiders Mock Draft 6.0. https://www.basketballinsiders.com/2016-nba-mock-draft-consensus-ver-6-0/
See the notes at below the draft.

Source?

Who do the Spurs have that we could want? Patty Mills is the first name that comes to mind, and really the only one. Mills+26th for 12th doesnt seem like a great trade though.

Patty Mills equals Shelvin Mack. There must be someone else on the Spurs the Jazz covet.

We act like we are agreeing to a trade... Find out who they want us to pick... Then keep him and win championships.

I wonder if they will trade tony Parker in their pursuit of Conley.

Any interest in tony Parker? So many miles.

They aren't giving up Green on that contract.

Then they have nothing I'd give up for the 12th... I don't have interest in TP... Think he is cooked.

Future first and Mills

#29, 2017 1st unprotected and Mills? I guess maybe.. not a big fan of that one though. Mills on a cheap expiring deal is an upgrade but I'd want a bigger upgrade.

Damn, I wouldn't do it if he was expiring. Was hoping he was locked up for a while.
