Highlights:
-4th and last workout for him(worked out with TOR, BOS and PHX before
-Looking for good fit. He thinks the Jazz are a great organization, young team with a lot of potential
-wanted to show that he can extend his range
-needs to improve 'everything'
-name on the back of his jersey gives him even more motivation

Walt Perrin after the workout:

About Sabonis:
-he's a rotational guy and he can start in some situations
-has continue to work on his 3p shooting, thinks he can extend his range to NBA 3 in time
-he's very strong, can be even stronger, maybe a bit leaner(body-fat wise)
-how much stock do we put on his improvement between year 1 and year 2 - "A LOT. Shows he's been working hard"
-NBA skill - good passing big man, he plays naturally hard, not everybody does. Quin always looking for passers and players who compete and play hard all the time.
-did pretty well with his conditioning.

Jazz fans would absolutely love Sabonis. That kid takes no off plays during the game. May not have the highest ceiling, but you know what you will get. Hard working rebounding machine who can pass and will do anything for the team to win.

I don't want Sabonis... still hate his dad.

So I thought they would have stopped with the no-names by now.

When they do no names I think they should reuse the same pictures and see if people catch it... Like the onion does.

Because he beat the Jazz and was one of those guys you just loved to hate.

If he was on our team I'm sure I would have loved him.

I'm totally being sarcastic though... I don't like him much because I don't see a great fit for him on our team. I don't know how to project him as a player... If he can shoot the three that changes things.

Apparently that is what he has been doing in workouts. His shooting improved considerably during his time at Gonzaga. I think he will be able to shoot the 3 and one of the best rebounders there is.

Sabonis is one player that I'm ok with drafting. Curious to see how high he goes.

I've watched James Webb III the last couple of years. He might be worth a late second round pick and then stashed in the DLeague. Outside shot needs work but is a decent rebounder and shotblocker.

Can you imagine if Lyles had stayed at Kentucky? Top 5 pick.

If he played in college like he did late in the season, he's easily a top 3 pick this year. Jazz stole one there. He's going to develop into one of the top stretch 4 players in the league.

It's not Sabonis who beat the Jazz in those playoff series. Sloan, Malone and Stockton all started going downhill in 1998-1999. Our bench was crap as well. Portland was just better, plus Bryon Russel missed two free throws in the end of the game 5 which would have send Jazz home with a chance to force game 7.

Brannen Greene might have had the worst college career for a guy who could legitimately stick in the NBA. Has NBA athleticism to be solid defensively, stick him out there and let him knock down threes. But will most likely just tear up the d league or Europe.

It's a small sample because Self hated him, but Geene's TS% was 75%. Dude is a pure shooter with range and a release that is quick enough and high enough to get shots up.

Jazz drafting Sabo Jr means major AKMVP days of shower bonerz tbh.

SaboMVP?

All I want for him is a good fit. Jazz and Raptors are the best fits for him in his draft range. Chicago or Boston would be ok...and lets hope he won't end up in Sacramento mess.
