Following 2016 potential draftees

Concerning this Beasley kid, if not for injury red flags where would he be expected to get drafted? Saw tape on him yesterday. I like him.
I like him quite a bit. Before the injury concerns I thought he was worthy of going in the lottery.

So this is the first draft in years I haven't followed. I have no idea who I want or don't want. Not that it really matters though. I was ecstatic to get burke 3 years ago. Thought he was the perfect fit with the rest of the core. I was less excited about Exum, really wanted any of the other 4 above him (although I was glad they picked him with who was left). I was really upset about Lyles. Didn't see at all why he was a lottery pick.

To my credit though, I was really upset they didn't pick Leonard over Burks though. That was a miss.

So what are the tiers right now. I know Simmons/Ingram go 1/2. Hield, Dunn, Murray, Bender and Chriss are the second tier with little to no chance they drop to 12? Who else is in that tier that we want but would have to trade up for? Who are the next group that will have a chance to drop to the Jazz? Sorry for not reading through 447 other pages, but would like the cliff notes version as its only 2 days before the draft.

Well a lot of good you are. I didn't even realize that the draft was this week until I heard it on the radio today. Shows just how out of the loop I've been. I was hoping and expecting playoffs, and decided last year was my last tank year, so didn't follow the draft thread this year. Plus this draft seems to be pretty week overall. I've also determined that whoever they pick, I trust DL and Snyder to get the most out of who is available and develop them, so why stress about who it is. I do want to be at least a little informed when Thursday rolls around though.

I'm in love with Poeltl.

I don't know about Poeltl. First off, his last name rhymes with Turtle and is spelled funny. Second, he is from the Yew. Third, and more importantly, he is a Center, and Jazz already have Gobert. NBA is really going away from true Centers in the first place. Many teams don't have any Centers, why would Utah need 2. That said, at 12 you are really looking for anyone who can contribute. I think he is good enough to get minutes on the Jazz, at least over Pleiss and Withey.

Just do what I did, throw all of your eggs in the Furkin Korkmaz basket and ride it until it bucks you off.

This sucks. I am getting excited about the possibilty of drafting poeltl.

What i kind of would like is the ability to draft poeltl and still make the trade with SA for green. Not sure how maybe burks .

Exum, mack, neto
Green, hood
Hayward, dudley, ingles
Favors, lyles
Gobert, poeltl, pleiss or withey

There would still be 1 more spot open for either a second rounder or another free agent, maybe just re-sign booker.

I like the size and versatility of the team and mix it with some solid vets that shoot and play defense. Make it happen DL

I wouldn't call him a prototypical center in what we've seen over the last 20 or so years. He's mobile can defend well for a big on the perimeter, athletic, and shows some outside touch with potential and is a solid to good passer.

According to reports, "Bender was awful" in his workout for Celtics and some other teams. I wonder if he might slip.

I said it weeks ago on here - Bender has been wildly overrated. Wouldn't shock me to see him fall out of the top 10. I wouldn't take him at 12. That he's been awful in workouts is about right - certainly no surprise.

People, there is no way Poeltl slips to 12, none. Look at all the stiff Centers that are continually drafted early. Centers with skill don't fall down the board. I guess you could say that Gobert did, and how did that work out for the rest of the league? Poeltl goes top 8.

I'd ****ing murder someone in excitement if Bender fell to us.
