Many firearms can be modified to make them automatic to some extent, including AR-15s.

While it's generally not good for the firearm, it's functional enough for one mass-shooting

That still requires a persons intent to cause harm. Let's address that before we ban an inanimate object. Any gun owner(who isn't a total ****ing idiot) is not going to alter a weapon for a one time use(again, unless their intent is to do harm). They're not cheap.

I like his general message which to me was our unwillingness to change....and our insane obsession/love for guns and the NRA being too involved in decision making. They seem like they might be kind of bias.

The term "AR-15" signifies "Armalite rifle, design 15".[8] Today, Colt uses "AR-15" for its semi-automatic civilian rifles...

NOT assault rifle like our anti gunners term it(I'm not singling anyone out).

Two factually incorrect points:

They don't carry automatic weapons. That is a VERY big difference from semi-automatic.
There are background checks, I've gone through them.

Also the Bill of Rights is outdated argument is a lazy one. Also changing congress members wont change anything in the current system.

I think it's totally fine for congress to ignore the wishes of 90 percent of Americans. That's totally what democracy is supposed to be about. Ignoring the people and doing whatever the big lobbyist wants you to do.

There are already background checks on all commercially sold firearms in the U.S.. Even the ones sold at gun shows.

So 90% of America has what they want.
